Jeremy Lin, Gasol and Kawhi along with the core the Raps have? Thats rock stinkin solid. Stoked to see what Lin can do. Dudes the definition of streaky but his hot streaks are magical.

What kind of money is Lin expected to sign for with the Raptors?

Maybe I'm missing it, but what's so classy about him choosing 17 as opposed to 7?

There's another PG wearing #7 already - Lowry

Cool. So what exactly is classy in taking 17? Writer giving credit to something that is very meh.

Did you click and see the entire image? He called JV before taking the number to see if it was ok with him. I think that's pretty cool.

Didn't at the time, but a nice gesture considering most guys would do that if the paint didn't dry. Enough to call it classy? Meh.

Raptors down 80-68 midway through the third quarter but go from down 12 to up 11 before the quarter is up. Impressive!

He ends with 44, 30 in the 2nd half. Awesome.
Raps win 129-120.

Might be the last All-Star weekend Siakam isn't there for a while. Just goes to show you that while tanking is certainly one approach to winning, you could definitely build a championship team without any top lottery picks (like the Raptors current roster looks like, although context obviously). The scary thing for Siakam is he's still relatively green to the game. In two or three more years he might not just be Giannis-lite, he might be damn close to the real thing.

If Leonard leaves, is Siakam going to be the best player on the team and is he capable of it? If so, is he the type of player who wants to play in Toronto long-term? Would suck to lose him.

I see Siakam topping out in that tier below elite. I don't think he will be the guy who takes over games regularly, like Davis, Giannis, Durant, George, Kawhi, LeBron, etc. However I do see him as that next level, a plus defender who can contribute offence with the occasional big night. That being said, at the rate he has been developing, if he can improve his handles and offensive BBIQ he could be a really special player.
Given his athleticism and ability to pass, he is a great player to build a lineup around - you do not need to worry as much where he will fit. He can shoot corner 3s, or pass to shooters off penetrating drives, or drive to the rim. He also does not need to be fed touches in ISO, which helps his team.
