Default Convert a Kindle Book to a .pdf?

I have used Calibre and it converted it to .pdf but they layout was all jacked.. Like there were 10 words per.pdf. I bought a college text book in kindle version. It would really be easier for me to use and navigate using a .pdf format. Can anyone help?

I was coming in here to recommend Calibre, but as you noticed it doesn't work very well. Maybe search for a torrent of the pdf book. Since you already bought the book you shouldn't go to hell.

HAHA ... well "my friend" torrent searched for the book before I bought err He bought it. With no luck. Im quite surprised that there aren't more college textbooks for download on torrent sites. I mean really is it that illegal? College bookstores buy the book , then sell it to students, then buy it back from students, then resell it to someone else and then do it all again. As long as someone originally buys the book whats the problem? ::::endrant .

Nonetheless thanks for the Calibre suggestion but it's not working .. anyone else?

Might be worth trying to strip the DRM from the file, you can find Calibre plugins for this and instructions on sites like lifehacker and howtogeek among others.

I think you should check out the Calibre forums. There's probably some character in the .mobi file being incorrectly interpreted as a page break. I'd bet your problem will be solved with a really simple regex replace.

Yeah I think what it does is create HTML markup and then "print" that to a PDF, and I think those converters can be customized and everything, but they're probably geared towards simple book layouts. Creating your own converter might be really complex though.

You could maybe try and convert it to .epub first then print it to PDF if the layout is better that way?
