Love the speed those guys bring too. Puts a little extra pressure on the D.

So fun watching these kids.
Nice to have something to cheer for this season. Loved the pure joy on Urena's face, and you could see how happy everyone was for him.

Not sure if anyone watching but this inning is a prime example of why you need speed in your line up and why I look forward to slugs like Morales being on a Jays roster no more.
One out and Morales on 2nd. Slow roller from Carerra up the 1st base line. Basically a swinging bunt and Morales cant advance. Next batter Goins drills a single right at the right fielder. Morales can only go to third on the single.
Anybody with average speed scores the tying run easily in the inning.

Smoak cranks number 38 with 2 out in the top of 9 to tie the game.

Thanks Smoakie. His homer gave us another opportunity to watch Ramirez pitch.
You want to temper expectations but my goodness he is just about unhittable right now.

Kid looks great if they can get a half decent lefty the bullpen should be great and cheap next year

Yeah and I bet they get one from within. Dermody seems to be figuring it out and Mayza has some serious stuff to work with. Hes gotten hit around a little bit but he only has 3 walks and 18 Ks in 11 innings which is really promising.

Nice to see Osuna come back, after some time off, with a solid save.
Bautista looks done like dinner

Yeah there was hope that Bautista might bounce back after an injury riddled season but nope. Hes just plain done.

If I recall Bautista was great when he came back from his injury in the second half of the season last year. It was far from fact that he was "done", though he didn't look as sharp with his mobility. Teams last year were scared to give money to anyone. It's a shame he dropped off so badly this year, but I wouldn't oppose bringing him back next year at a cheap contract as a bench option for a year.

Not a good idea at all IMO.
Joey Bats is simply not an MLB calibre player anymore. He can barely even hit anything at this point and he's slowing down more and more. Only thing that's gotten slightly better for him is that his arm has somewhat recovered from last year. That's all. Every other part of his game is getting progressively worse.
It's sad, but he really is done.

You would just be bringing in a name at that point, because there's no way you bring him in if his name was Joe Smith. I wouldn't put it past management to bring him back to have a "name".
But some prospects are starting to turn out and give hope, and the fan base is now wise to the fact that any hope of success with this veteran group is over, it's the perfect time from a marketing stand point to throw in the towel and sell a quick rebuild with pieces noticeably progressing.
Toronto's a smart baseball market, I think they may actually keep more season tickets selling a quick rebuild than bull****ing the fans for a second straight year. You BS them twice and they'll see visions of the last 20 years and say "**** you, we're out 'til we see something again".

Between the fans invading Target Field and the Jays seriously messing with the Twins' playoff chances, I don't think Canada is particularly popular in Minnesota right now.
At least, unlike Seattle, there's still enough local fans in the building to try and drown out our chants.

So if I were the Twins I would pay anything to get Donaldson. He is tearing them apart this series!
Another 2 HR in todays game

I hate to say it but I hope they deal JD in the off season and this late season boost helps maximize that return. He isn't going to re-sign and if you wait to the deadline the return won't be high. Gotta deal him
