Happy Canada Day CP.
I have this sinking feeling that it won’t be a great day/week for the Flames.
No trades to clear up cap space or tweak the lineup and an offer sheet on Tkachuk that really puts Tre in a jam. Hope I’m 100% wrong.
Other than Talbot, I also suspect there won’t be a peep out of the Dome.

wouldn't be super difficult... Monahan's salary is off the books so there's 6.375 million of additional space. prob just need to find a way to get stone off the books

Why is that, exactly? They are essentially the same player. In fact, I would argue heavily that Monahan has the better pedigree due to longevity.

Given the prices being paid for free agents out there. The Flames sitting back without doing anything would make this a great week for them.

They certainly aren't. Aho is already worlds better. Just posted 83 points in his age-21 season when Monahan was posting 62. Aho is like a centre version of Gaudreau who's 6' tall.
Aho is one of the most valuable players in the NHL
