Eagles run a tonne of option plays. I think Kaep would be fine. It doesn't matter either way. It's all rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
I'm mostly just trying to cope with this stuff. Just absolutely gutted that the season ends this way.

This is the 4th straight primetime game for the Steelers and it is clear that they are pretenders. They can barely handle mediocre teams. The Patriots are going to annihilate them, as usual.

I was listening to Sirius NFL this morning and one guy was making a case for the Ravens and I was thinking to myself; "get out of here" but he appears to be on point.

Without Smith their D has fallen apart the last 6 quarters.
Harbaugh is a miracle worker with the injuries to have this team anywhere near the playoffs.

No idea why Seattle cut Alex Collins knowing their run game is garbage.

Why not run the ball before the field goal...

This is not your usual Steelers and Ravens game.

Seahawks inconsistent but I still think they are a threat in the NFC. Next weeks game against the Rams is huge.

Actually for this to truly be a nightmare season, what we need is for the Cowboys to win their next 3 and sneak into the playoffs, get Zeke back and go on a run, beating the Nick Foles led Eagles in the divisional round and eventually winning the Super Bowl so we all get to deal with a Jerry and Trump White House meeting.

Marty Mornhinweg needs to be canned. You don’t run the ball to close the game out when you have killed them with the run all game. Patheic.
Thank god Dean Pees is retiring as he is garbage too

I'm actually kind of talking myself into Nick Foles. He's not a great QB but he's 20-16 as a starter and that includes his rookie year when he had to start on a really bad Eagles team, and his 2015 season on an awful Rams team coached by Jeff Fisher.
The one thing is though that the Eagles have to get better on first and second down because there's no way Foles is going to be able to replicate Wentz's success on third down.

Devastated if the news is true about Wentz for eagles fans, had same thing happen last year with Carr and it just sucks, no other words, feels like a lost season
Like rube says above Foles isn't terrible, but I think so much of this eagles offense is Wentz improvisation and escaping the pocket, won't have that. NFC is so stacked this year too whomever wins it will be playing at such a high level I don't know if they can match that level

Hundley really did the job too, if Rodgers really is back next week and they can run the table, that's a team no one wants to play
Last few spots in NFC will be great to see over next few weeks
Eagles and Vikes are in
Rams
Seahawks
Saints
Panthers
Falcons
1 from each of those groups above is in, rest are WC contenders
Packers, lion's, cowboys all have a chance if they run the table

Yeah, my expectations have definitely dropped but it's not outside the realm of possibility when we're in a year where Case Keenum is a top 5 QB. It's also not like Foles is Matt McGloin either. I think he's the type of QB that can game-manage a team with a strong defense and a run game through the playoffs if he gets a little lucky. The big problem for the Eagles is that Wentz's mobility helped to mask a lot of the deficiencies on the offensive line after Peters got hurt. They won't have that luxury now, and if Wisniewski's injury is serious, the left side of that line is really bad.

AFC crazy too but moreso lack of talent
Pats and Steelers will be 1/2
Jags are likely 3 but titans could win that division
West seems down to chiefs and chargers, but if Raiders run table (won't happen) they could win it
Wild card is crazy
Titans are 8-5
Bills, ravens, chiefs, chargers at 7-6
Games on Saturdays starting next week too

I had a scenario in the playoff machine where in the NFC
Seattle, Carolina, Green Bay , and Dallas all finish 10-6. Oddly enough Seattle got in despite their head to head loss to Dallas and Green Bay. In that scenario Green Bay had beat all three teams. But in a 4 team tie breaker that didnt matter.
I also had 3 teams in the AFC tied for the last spot. If KC wins against the Chargers next win the Chargers still have a good shot at the WC. If LA wins than its likely Buffalo claiming it.
Next week should be fun.

Such a bizarre finish in the Steelers/Ravens game, between the Thursday nighter and SNF, both prime time games end with a one possession score and no final play run before the clock expires.
That's back to back weeks where the Steelers snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against rivals, I can't figure them out. They've looked very bad in 6 of their past 8 quarters against mediocre teams. In a weak AFC, they seem destined for another AFCCG L to New England.

I wouldn't pencil in the Steelers in the AFC Championship game so quickly. The Jaguars with their dominant defense could definitely beat the Steelers again.
