I only had about 40 rounds this year which is my lowest number in a decade. Only one new course - Banff Springs. Not sure how it took that long.

11 of those were during a late June golf trip in BC. I purchased a Columbia Trail golf passport and we did all nine rounds plus and extra twillight at Riverside and a round up at Greywolf over 5 and a half days.

I didn't touch my clubs again until later in August when I got invited to a tournament at Springbank Links, which was my first time playing that course. I ended up having the best round of my life.

I got in about 30 rounds this year. New courses for me included Shadow Mountain, Bootleg Gap, Wildstone, Alberta Springs, Grey Wolf (both courses), Serenity, and Calgary G&CC

Sorry! I messed up and meant Wolf Creek in Central Alberta! Can’t believe I got the two confused as Grey Wolf may be my favourite course of all time!

A Calgary philanthropist has bequeathed the City of Calgary $1 million — to be spent a public golf course.

David McClement died on April 10, 2016, at the age of 85.

His will revealed that he wanted to give the city $1 million for the Shaganappi Point Golf Course, where he often played.

I thought this was a great story.... now if only the City will stop shrinking the course. Shag was a decent sized 18 at one point (valley 9 excluded) but now it's really just a Par 3 course after the driving range and loss of room to Bow Trail.

Looking at RS this season.$2700.I think I could be happy playing Millburn,Cattails 15 min from home.Just needs to figure out what times of day that combo tees off.
