I would love seeing which this guy could do in front of Seth Jones, Zach Werenski, David Savard.

I could see kickbacks given from Bettman to Katz to give the new franchise a boost.

If we had no cap restraints.

I'd actually like to see a Gaudreau - McDavid - Lindholm line.

That would probably be a guaranteed goal a night.

Rolling with Chucky - Mony - Neal for the 2nd line.

Trade is one for one: Damon Severson for Connor McDavid.

I guess to New Jersey then?

Seattle! Because somehow the next GM forgets to protect him in the expansion draft.

Not Detroit. They've had enough fun for a while.

I’ve developed such a hatred for him that he’s absolutely ruined for me. I couldn’t cheer for him anywhere. I don’t even think I would cheer for him on Team Canada.

Personally I want him to stay in the Western Conference - so I would pick the Flames. However in the absence of that, I would love to see him lead the Rangers. Would be such a good place for him.

Islanders or Buffalo

None of the teams who have been good recently.

Last time the Islanders were good, most of you were in diapers. And Buffalo's got zero cups.

Having a generational Canadian talent wasting away in Edmonton does bring a certain amount of joy to Flames fans... but as fans of hockey, it's no doubt a waste of entertainment. Pittsburgh has been a great place for Crosby to play, as there's no real rivalry people in Canada are invested in. If a team needs to come out of the East, I'm more than happy to see Crosby have a run at the Cup if it wasn't going to be the Flames. Ovechkin in Washington has been great too.

So where would you actually like to see McDavid go? I'm assuming all options are open, as most teams would be willing to put anything on the table to acquire Connor.

Personally, I'd love to see him on the Red Wings or Flyers.

I've always had a soft spot for the Wings as their barn has always been a fun place to be as a visiting fan, and it's odd that they aren't great anymore. They belong back in the playoffs, and McDavid would be fun to watch on a good team with a legacy.

The Flyers are another team that I'd love to see doing well, and the Crosby vs McDavid is something I'm eager to see more and more of. Flyers vs Penguins games would be must-watch games, and the Flyers fans would be entertainment on their own.

I am firmly in the 'McDavid will forever be an Oiler' camp, but if the masses are right (and won't hockey be much better for it?) what jersey would you actually like to see him wear?

Has he asked to be traded?? If not then you are about 7 years early with this topic.

There is no way McDavid stays in Edmonton for another seven years. The Oilers are in fact that bad.

I suspect that this would not work nearly as well as you imagine it should. Both Gsudreau and McDavid like to carry the puck. A lot. There is just not enough puck to go around between the two of them.

If he went to the Rangers he would instantly regress as every big name player that goes there does.

This thread is right on cue IMO.

The Mc2ndstar camp gave the oilers 4 years to figure things out, and they are arguably in worse shape now than they were 4 years ago, which is hilarious.

They actually need to blow it up and rebuild again, and there is no way anyone can have even a sliver of faith that they'll be able to accomplish it successfully in the 6th attempt when the first 5 went so hilariously bad.

My bet is they try to force their way out of EDM this summer.

As to the question, just send him out east somewhere.
