Yea, it's a one off. He's just having a bit of a hot streak. Lots of shots on goal and some are going in. Prior to that streak, he didn't have a shot on goal for a couple games or just one shot.

He's okay defensively. He's not great, not horrible. Sort of a guy whose there and fills a spot. I can't see him being retained past this year because we have lots of guys who can fill that same role.

Diana C. Nearhos @dianacnearhos
Carr comes out instead of Thiessen. I wonder if Brad's wife went into labor? She was due the end of January.

Yonkman, Cundari and now Thiessen are healthy scratches. Setoguchi, Arnold are injured.

Sounds like the Wild team is pretty depleted. They have lost alot of players due to injury and callups to the Minnesota Wild.

They didn't have much to work with to start, but explains the recent 6 game losing streak.

Iowa gets the first shot 11 seconds into the game. Easy save for Ortio.

Poirier with a heavy hit on Falk.

He might have a physical side we are only just starting to see here.

McGrattan with a huge hit on Gudbranson.

Sieloff with a solid hit on another player.

Flames are throwing the body around nicely early on. All very clean, but very hard hits.

With Yonkman and Cundari out and Potter called up, we have a new crop of players wearing an "A". Ferland, Hanowski and Elson with the A on the jersey tonight.

Reinhart and Poirer on a 2 on 1 breakaway but Reinhart can't get the pass over to Poirier cleanly.

Sieloff with another hit that takes out a Wild player and lets the Flames breakout of their own zone.

I know its early, but Sieloff is having a nice defensive game so far. Hopefully he keeps this up.

Stevenson just exploded Gabriel. Massive hit.

Flames are just knocking the Wild over like bowling pins.

McGrattan joins in again on the hitting party with another on Gabriel and it looks like he will get an interference call on the play.

Shore and Hathaway with a shorthanded chance but cannot get the play to connect.

Reinhart gets the puck up to Elson and he has a great chance, but Kemper with a glove save.

Elson breaks in with another massive shot and a huge glove save. Actually Elson to Ramage. There were 3 Flames on the Iowa goalie.

...the Wild are on a PP.

Wild Goal

Gelinas sneaks in with a quick shot and it slips past Ortio. Powerplay goal.
