Hoping for the Caps to win this so the questions about OV's legacy can finally be put to rest. For me he is on Iggy level when it comes to someone who deserves to raise it.

However Vegas appears to be a team of destiny and they have that 2012 Kings' vibe about them where they just appear unstoppable.

Hope it goes to quadruple overtime in game 7, and Ovi scores while laying on his back.

If Vegas is good enough to make the finals this year, no reason why they shouldn't be the favorite to go back next year.

The Caps are built a lot like a more veteran Jets roster. They better get stellar goaltending if they hope to not get taken apart like the Jets were.

$1000 bet at +130 = $2300 payout
That isn't what I am saying. To make the bet a free roll you have to take your total commitment, and bet a portion of it on the caps to win (which is your hedge). The portion you bet depends on the caps' odds. If you were committing $1000 to the roll, and the Caps are +105, you would bet $488 on the caps, because that would get you your $1000 left. Then you bet the remainder ($512) on Fleury for Conn Smythe. $512 at +130 gets you 1177.60. At +150 it gets you 1280. That is your "win" on the roll.

I think the Caps' odds are actually worse now than when I initially posted so it's a slightly better proposition based on my other assumptions, but it all depends on what the "Fleury for Conn Smythe" odds are.

Of course, there's the "jackpot" outcome, which is that the caps win and Fleury wins the conn smythe anyway, in which case you get the payout from the hedge and the roll.

Vegas brothel has a special offer for Golden Knights
Quote:
And with Vegas now on the verge of truly making history, a local business is stepping up to make sure that the Golden Knights are properly motivated to bring home the Cup. The offer? A free celebratory team sex party courtesy of the world famous Sheri’s Ranch brothel. Yes, that's right. A free team sex party.
I guess that's one way to motivate the players Now which one of you said that Vegas have been busting [their] butts all year?

This feels like an epic Hollywood movie. The hero and his group, which is OV and his Caps, after neverending struggle finally getting themselfs in the final confrontation, where they have to beat their maker, Dr. McPhee, who is about to unleash his most dangerous weapon and our hero's arch nemesis, The Flower.

Any word on injuries?

Smith-Pelley and Orpik in particular looked pretty banged up after Game 7.

I have been happy with the Knights story up until now. if I'm being honest, I want it to be over.
I'm ready for them to lose.
It would also be nice to finally have the OV critics shut up.

to me this series comes down to goaltending and Fleury is having a historical postseason. Only way the caps win is if their goaltending is even close.

going with my heart and not my head. caps in 7

Based on this, Fleury is -109 to win the Conn Smythe and the Caps are +115. Superbook has MAF at even odds. So it's totally not worth it unless that changes.

So much rides on if they win or lose though. If he goes .980 and 1.80GAA but they still lose in 5, he won't win it.

If they win in 7 and he plays so-so, he'll win it.

Doesn't matter for this betting strategy. Actually with current odds you're better off if the Knights lose. At least there's a chance to win both bets in that case and make actual money. But that's not worth going for. At +120 and +130 there's a case for it.

It will be interesting to see how Fleury does. He has this aura around him that he is in the Caps head based on a couple games, but really in the last 2 rounds against the Caps he has a 0.897 save %.

He has been playing great this post season though. Holtby is playing out of this world too so it could be a defensive low scoring series.

Pink has a concert there on Saturday. I am far from an expert on setting up sound/concert stages, but I am guessing Friday and Sunday would be out for setup and take down.

Gotta think that they would be ready by Sunday evening for a game
