Nope. Domi is really overrated on this board. You don't like Hamilton's defence? Watch OEL.

I can't believe what I'm reading here.
OEL is a star in this league. He's the kind of guy that can do anything on the ice and take over a game if he wants to.

I'm not sure Arizona would be keen to do that. Domi has huge upside, and Hamilton is not that big of an upgrade on OEL, if much at all. They are both offensive D but have different qualities to their game.
I just don't think Arizona is desperate enough for Hamilton to do that. Would be a step backwards for them. They have bigger troubles than us to fill out their Fwd roster.

Is OEL going to extend in Arizona? If not then I can see him being traded. Can they afford to pay him the 8-9M per he is going to want?
They also have been rumored to be looking to move Domi.
Not sure Hamilton is enough to get both

Arizona wouldn't do that deal.
OEL is a heart and soul type player on their team and is a fan favorite. He is physical, hits and fights and is only 2 years older.
He has scored 20+ goals twice and is consistently a 15 goal scorer on D.
I'm not sure a straight up deal for Hamilton would do it let alone adding Domi.

Fights??? He has zero NHL Fights. http://www.hockeyfights.com/players/19953
OEL was -28 Last year and had less points than Hamilton.
OEL is basically a TJ Brodie that produces more offense. He is a disaster in his own zone at times.
The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
Arizona would take that deal and run.

That's crazy.
With OEL so close to UFA, there's no way he's worth more than Hamilton.

Great story. The legend of OEL continues to grow. I hear he dug the Grand Canyon all by himself during the off-season one year too. People really need to watch some Coyotes games, and I mean a stretch of them. OEL is horrible. He makes TJ Brodie look like the love child of Chris Pronger and Scott Niedermayer.

He's been into so many scrums i thought he would at least have some fights... but i stand corrected.
but my point still remains, he is way more physical than Hamilton.
I don't read into the +- stat because you have to consider the team he's playing on.
the fact that he put up those numbers offensively on Arizona should tell you how good he is and can be playing on a much better team.

you think TJ Brodie is in the same class as OEL? go on hfboards with this opinion.

Haha these things always make me laugh.
It's amazing how far apart people can be when it comes to the valuation of players around the league.
In the last 10 or so posts OEL has been rated all the way from "star in this league" to "horrible".

That is exactly why we do not go on HF Boards.

No, I think OEL is a worse player than Brodie. OEL is the most over rated player in the NHL. People see his stats and get blown away. If they bothered to subject themselves to the pain of watching Arizona games they would quickly realize that OEL is grossly over rated and can't play a lick of defense.
Oh, and IDGAF about hfboards. Biggest cesspool of know-nothing idiots in the hockeysphere. hfboards makes oilfungus.com look like the love child between Stephen Hawking and Eric Duhatschek. That should tell you how far down the evolutionary ladder the trolls on hfboards are.

You haven't watched a game of him. Yes, he cheats on defense because it's Arizona and they are terrible but unlike Brodie he can turn on the switch and actually play defense if he wants. And look elite while doing it.
There is a reason why teams are after him and not Brodie.

So tell me, O wise insider, which teams are after OEL, and how exactly do you know that no team wants Brodie?

People are complaining about Brodie now, wait till they get OEL. Oh wait, may be they'll finally stop complaining about Brodie cos they have OEL as their whipping boy.

So a #1 defenseman is less sought after than a second pairing guy, who hasn't looked all that good the last couple of years?
I would think it's logic. O wise one.

Maybe there's a new list out there, but where is Brodie on this one? Made by "Wise Insiders".

edit
And this was made when Brodie was still considered to be playing well.
