yes he is because he's a highly-rated 22 year old and Mourinhos feelings (read: his idiocy) should have no impact on his market value. Why should an injury-prone 29 year old be worth more? It makes no sense.

Shirt sales for Bale might make it worthwhile for them, especially if they limit his appearances to some degree, but I agree that Martial is the wiser investment.

They might already have an in-house replacement in Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Well Sanchez and Foyth are more likely I think and we saw with Toby out for so long that the team looked pretty solid between Davinson and Vertonghen. I really don't want Alderweireld gone, but we might as well get as much as possible and hopefully United give him a huge contract to go along with that.

Market is market. Anything approaching a top level CB is now worth £50 million plus. The injuries matter, but like anything it's supply and demand. Besides even factoring age and injuries, if Laporte is worth almost £60 million, Alderweireld has to be worth in the same ballpark. I think a straight swap would be fair enough. But as you mentioned United have the muscle to not do that. Can Spurs hold out is the question.

Yeah, sorry, I meant more in the depth department. Sanchez is the obvious first team replacement but CCV looks to have pretty good potential and I think could step in if adequately if Spurs run into injury issues next season.

They are going hard after de ligt at ajax a few of the spurs reporters have said, so are city so we know how it probably ends

Liverpool close to signing Fabinho according to the telegraph for 50m
https://mobile.twitter.com/JBurtTele...77152673468416
Definitely improving an area of need, keita and fabinho are such an upgrade on henderson, milner, winaldjum, can etc,
Those 2 with ox is a real dynamic midfield

With the Fekir rumours, I'm not sure where Ox fits in all of that. Looking like a bench player next year.

Fekir would have to be in the front 3
They couldnt play him and mane, firminho, salah unless chasing
Would get the ball played around them in midfield
They want him so they csn rotate more, add him and assume solanke gets a bit more time
Lallana was their option off the bench on saturday, thats where fekir comes in, what they have isnt good enough

I believe in the Jays.

It's funny to think that a club that made it to the CL final will likely have an entirely new first choice midfield a few months later. Really excited about a Fabinho Keita parternship. That has the potential to change us from a side that was just surviving in midfield to one that dominates. I hope they click well together.

Ya, the games where they looked bad this season, first city game and at spurs, plus the 2nd roma game stick out
Just got overrun in mf by better groups there
keita himself was going to be huge, hes a proper box to box cm who can also contribute on attack, hes going to be a big star next season
But fabinho a great dm, no flash, just provides cover and allows the others to focus on attack

Manchester United have activated the €20m release clause of 19-year-old Portuguese right back Diogo Dalot from Porto. So I guess Mourinho plans with Valencia as his first choice for another year with Dalot pushing him. Don't know a lot about him, but seems to be highly-rated.
And really, €20m isn't Dalot of money nowadays ... I'll see myself out.

Arsenal has a new kit sponsor!
Quote:
KIGALI, Rwanda -- Rwanda's government on Tuesday defended its $39 million sponsorship deal with Arsenal as some aid donors and rights activists raised an outcry.
"Visit Rwanda" will be emblazoned on the left sleeve of players in Arsenal's first, under-23 and women's teams.
Rwanda remains one of the poorest countries in the world and continues to recover from the 1994 genocide that killed more than 800,000 people. Over a third of its population lives in poverty.
Local political analyst Robert Mugabe called the Arsenal deal elitist, saying many Rwandans did not know how it will benefit them.

My neighbours for many years were Rwandan refugees and when asked when they planned on going back their answer was:
"Are you crazy? Never."

Hopefully we see someone rocking a "Visit North Korea!" arm patch.

I propose that we sponsor a small North Korean Soccer team and name them the 'Isotopes.'

Interesting times at Chelsea. First the UK wouldn't issue a visa for Abramovitch as they deal with the issues with Russia. Then today Chelsea announces they have put their new stadium on hold. I say this is interesting because Abramovitch has emigrated to Israel and they have some kind of law where you can bring money in tax-free and basically without question for ten years. Maybe some changes to come at Chelsea in terms of ownership and spending?
