Even though Theo should already be in the hall right now, I want him and Jarome to be inducted in the same class. I think that would be nice. I’m happy Hayley is finally going in.

You completely missed the point, and have moved the goalposts from your original post considerably.
Lame NHL player class. Zubov IMO the only deserving
How Mogilny or Roenick keep getting snubbed alongside Theo is bewildering. Mogilny especially. Then again the 4th greatest American born scorer should be a lock as well.

Me: This guy’s NHL career sucked. If the only reason he’s getting in is because he defected, then he should go in as a builder.
You: TrEtIaK aNd KhArLaMoV aLsO hAd LoUsY nHl CaReErS.
Me: Tretiak and Kharlamov got in because they were legends on the international stage. You know who wasn’t a legend on the international stage? Nedomanský.
I know the HHoF is not just about the NHL. I remember watching Tretiak and Kharlamov play when I was a kid. I was always Tretiak when I played goal against my brother, and my dad would always roll his eyes and remind me that the Russians were evil. I didn’t care. Tretiak was a friggin ninja dressed like a goalie. How could I not want to be as good as him?
There are two ways to get into the HoF (as a player) that I’ve seen. One is to be really good in the best league in the world (the NHL), and the other is to be a literal international legend. I’d never heard of Nedomanský before so he’s not an international legend, which is why I looked up his NHL stats.
I get it though. I didn’t include a disclaimer when I commented on his NHL stats, leaving an opening for a easy drive-by. I would have ignored it like I did the other ones, but you just had to compare Nedomanský to Tretiak. How the heck am I supposed to leave that alone?

How? By just acknowledging that I was joking about you limiting the standards to NHL careers. Which is what I was pretty obviously doing, especially with green text.
I don't know how you grew up watching Tretiak and Kharlamov but never heard of Vaclav Nedomansky. He wasn't the hugest star in the NHL, but he was the first Czech to defect was a big star in the WHA, and he was a very very good player, who held his own internationally with Tretiak during a lot of international play. Especially 1969.
Big reason Tretiak, Kharlamov and Yakushev are in is because they competed against NHL stars in key tournaments, tours etc. which differentiates them from other international stars. Now don’t get me wrong, these guys wee outright superstars, but the HHOF is really about the NHL mainly and seems like Nedomansky got in because of his historical significance to the NHL.

Probably, because of his trailblazer status for defectors.
Alright, well I no longer have any idea what we’re talking about - which is why I edited out the part about me not being an idiot. There is more than enough evidence on this website to prove otherwise.

Vaclav Nedomansky was a phenomenal player and trailblazer in making the sport in North America an international experience. The Hockey Hall of Fame is also a curated museum dedicated to documenting the growth of the sport and his inclusion should not be considered controversial. Your guy didn't get in this year? That's not on Big Ned.
Barrasso gets in before Vernon, although Vernon has a pretty strong resumé.
Fleury is a no-chancer. Sorry, it ain't happening. And that's with former teammate Lanny McDonald having a persuasive voice.
Iginla is eligible next year. Not expecting a first ballot induction, but it's certainly a lot more plausible.
Is Lanny on Team Theo? I imagine a lot of vets/alumni don't like him that much.
Iggy is almost a lock for first ballot unless there's a whole bunch of deserving guys who've been waiting and are equal to him, which I don't think is true.
