Bennett would 100% be apart of that trade. Which I'm not against but looks like he mite be putting it together. Also we would need MTL to retain a large chunk of that contract.

Goalie wasn't good enough, top players weren't good... unlucky to lose by 2 to a good team.

Move on

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if Treliving has irons on the fire as it's always been a possibility that Smith could nosedive at his age. It's just a matter of the goaltenders he's looking at, the price, and how long he's willing to wait. I expect he's going to wait until early December at least but you never know.

Meh onto the next one, but one thing is if the goaltending fails this year its all on Treliving.

Well if the handling of Glen Gulutzan is any indication...

All kidding aside I’m sure Treliving is trying and isn’t just screwing around but what do I know.

Bennett looked great for a 2nd game in a row. Exciting to see.

1. Sam Bennett is back. Fresh start with a new coach who will reward players in-game has got the young lad on a positive feedback loop. Things are looking good.

2. Dillon Dube looks good!

3. James Neal is a finisher. More to come from him as we go.

4. Michael Stone...I thought that was a solid game for Stone.

5. Very rarely do we see Monahan and Gaudreau play that badly.

6. Father Time has caught Mike Smith and it’s not pretty.

7. I like Bill Peters.

Good to get a bunch of first goals too. Should make Neal and Ryan a little more relaxed. Now if just Sam could ever score he will go on a tear. He's showing some consistency in his game to start the season.

U started watching in the 3rd,flames looked good.

Was happy to see Rittich have a solid outing in relief of Smith. Expecting him to have a strong game Saturday.

Came out flat. Gave up 5 straight goals. Smith was suspect no doubt but you’re not winning this game 9/10 with that performance. Especially the first 30 minutes. Very poor.

Nice to see the team keep fighting but playing well with a 4 goal deficit while the Blues inevitably sit back is not something that brings me a lot of comfort.

Just win Saturday and everything is okay.

Absolutely no consistency in net. That's going to be the footnote on this season unless something is done.

Yea, because it's such a stretch that this team could be sunk by goaltending. That's never happened before, right?

Jankowski needs to come in a few guys could easily sit after tonight’s game, but it should likely be Poluso, dude is bringing very little to his line imo. I think Saturday should be good Rittich looked really good with his limited time in net tonight, Frolik... dude... you are better then that. Johnny, way better then that. when JG off 1st like struggles and it’s obvious who stirs the drink there. Neal is looking better every game I think, nice to see him score even if it was a easy one, sadly we have a few who manage to mess those up still. I have a feeling Matt’s dad is gonna be telling him to keep it simple when trying to get things going, way too cute all night long.

Lastly Sam, that kid is looking like he

Sam is just getting his motor revved up, when it starts going in for him it’s gonna be so good to see. He is just soldiering on through it relentlessly.

I’m ok with a loss when they don’t give up and get beat by a better goalie, more things to work on but totally a different team this year to watch. Even in a loss it always felt like a comeback could and should happen.

Meh. One of those ugly games where the team didn't show up for portions of the game, bad luck with posts, and bounces just didn't go the Flames' way. Blues played a good game, mostly have to give credit to them.

Meh, we're not gonna win 'em all. Flames were the better team in the 2nd half of the game, and I especially liked the pushback we saw in the 3rd. Last year's team would have folded like a cheap tent after the 1st period.

Nice to see Neal finally get on the scoresheet. It's about time, buddy.

Rittich looked really solid in the 3rd. I would start him on Saturday.

Smith has to be better.

Win in Denver and the road trip is a success.

2-1 on this trip would be solid considering the competition. Win Saturday

We're 4 games in.

Four.

That's an extremely quick reaction so early in the season.

Chill.
