I know Smith was very good against the Leafs, but I feel so good about Rittich lately. That was absolutely clutch in OT, made it look easy, leading to a goal the other way.

The team is scoring the important goals late that they were not under Gulutzan. Peters used his time out like a boss setting up the tying tally!

Someone needs to gif Johnny's scoreface at the end there. That was great, lol.

Gosh, I am glad Rittich froze that puck. My main concern when Tkachuk took that penalty was we'd have to watch more 4v4.

Rittich and Gio had great games...

I like how the Flames adjusted over the coarse of the game. At the beginning we we're giving the puck away a ton. Flames tightened up and started to pour it on offensively.

Not a perfect game but we got the w and that's all that matters.

Go Flames!

Very reminiscent of the Colorado game. And a great game by Ritt-itch.

Mark Giordano with another point to give him 11 points in 13 games to start the year with a very strong defensive game to give him a tidy +8.

I'm gonna throw this out there.

If Giordano keeps playing like this all year, he should be one of the Norris finalists.

Gio with 11p in 13 and team scores much more than scored on when he's out there. Makes you wonder.. does he make a late push for the Norris this season?

This is a great example of skating all game .... Schooled one of the best offenses in the league (Leafs) and now 2 wins in 2 nights.

NOW DO IT AGAIN!!!!

As I said, Mr Sticky started croaking like crazy when Johnny scored, here is a pic of him all puffed up croaking and cheering. Flames 3-0 when he watches.

It’s always nice when the better team wins the game. Would have been a bit of a travesty if the Sabres got two points out of this one.
