Every Canadian team other than Calgary is an embarrassment to this country. No idea why any Flames fan would ever cheer for any of them.
Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, all just annoying.

I hope a Toronto Stanley Cup passes out of living memory. Figure 80 years ought to about do it. So only about 30 to go.

Flames win 2-1 in MIN!

That seems surprising to me, based on where the two teams are in the standings. It is also possible I don't understand the ticket correctly, but if that's the case set me straight!

Everything you posted is correct.
Usually the away team will have longer odds. Even if they are higher in the standings. However if I remember correctly, Minnesota were only slight favourites in the overall market. They were 5/4 or 11/10 so would have returned £22.50 or £21. Which you may perceive as making them underdogs as well.
The market I chose was 60 minutes betting. So a tied game was one potential outcome. That pushes the odds against selecting a winner up.
The Flames were 8/5, which I thought was a good shout. Especially with BSD!

Thats what it is now 17 seconds . The offending team has 17 seconds to be ready for the face off.
The leugue implemented this rule to cut game times down.

But there's no clock, so it's not upheld.
Set up a timer and things will start moving.

Ah ok, thanks! In that case I agree your bet was excellent value, and it worked, so congratulations!
I had missed the "60 minute" part, so a tie in regulation obviously lengthens the odds for both teams, which makes sense.

Tampa Bay can't win the cup either, they should be just as putrid in your eyes as are the canadian teams you listed.

That was a tough game to get through. Minnesota still plays some of the worst hockey outside of Edmonton. That game made me take four unexpected naps. Terrible game to watch. Glad we won, but bad hockey to sit through.

Well, as Itse mentioned, there's no clock, so it's pretty meaningless, even if true.
Also, while watching the Ducks game last night, I started counting on icings, just for ####s and giggles. Every one I counted came in between 25 and 28 seconds (and by no means were any of those dragged out, they felt pretty 'normal' to me).
Adding 7 or 8 seconds to any of them would have been noticeable, but not necessarily egregious, IMO.
I am going to try and remember to do this some more today.

Don't know how I'd missed that! Now, it feels right. Let's move on to the STL.

So Dumba will have the rest of the season to suck it.
Out minimum 3 months, likely for the season.
