nice, if Roger can no longer win slams himself, he's going to make sure the ones lifting trophies are decked out in his gear (and boosting his standings in the billionaire sportsperson's club)

FAA has drawn a really nice draw in Miami with only Cerundalo and Tiafoe standing in his path to the QF.
Shapo is in tougher being in the Fritz/Rune quarter, but has a first round bye and could neither player is out of his league if he shows up in the right frame of mind.

Yeah, the courts will be faster in Miami which should bode well for FAA. If he does meet Big Foe, that will be a fun match. He could play Oikos in the quarter-finals although Lehecka is also in that part of the draw with Tsitsipas.

Shapo's girlfriend Mirjam Bjorklund has qualified for the main draw in Miami so at least that should have Denis in a positive mood. If he could manage to win a couple matches, he could play Taylor Fritz and they have had some pretty fun matches in the past.

Katherine Sebov continues her fine form in 2023 - She qualified for the Aussie Open earlier this year and just now won her final qualification match to make the Miami main draw. Way to go Katherine.

Marino was up 0-40 with 3 break points leading 6-5 in first set vs Putinseva.
It's gone to tie break now. Hopefully Marino lives to not regret this opportunity missed..
Edit: Marino wins tie break 7-4

Up next for Rebecca is Coco Gauff - Now that's a tough test.

I have never heard of Canadian Katherine Sebov, a 4th Canadian wonan (who won two qualifiers to get here) in the round of 128 plays this afternoon to try to get to round of 64.
Buanca and Leylah play tomorrow

Yeah, she's been toiling on the ITF circuit and lower level WTA tourneys for some time, but she's been in fine form in 2023. As mentioned above, she qualified for the Aussie Open and played a pretty good match against Caroline Garcia in Melbourne. It's a nice payday for Katherine just making the main draw in Miami, if she can win her match today, that would be terrific.
