Commercials you can't stand!

These SkipTheDishes commercials are absolutely brutal. Whenever you make a "humorous" type of commercial, you shouldn't play it in every commercial break.

I don't like using Skip to begin with (I'd rather go direct to the restaurant), but these commercials make me dislike them even more.

I've only seen the commercial a handful of times, so I'm not sick of it yet. I love his little smile when his friend says the above - it's the smile of a troll that knows his trolling is working. I can appreciate the subtlety of it.

That's the key part. Dominos and A&W have improved their product, so at least the messages ring true...even if the ads become annoying after a while. Tim Hortons on the other hand? I'm very skeptical of them improving anything...even though the bar is already pretty low.

I heard their rep talking on 770 News about the new coffee and he didn’t sound convincing at all that it was any better. He just kept repeating coffee industry buzzwords, trying to make it sound like this stuff was for really sophisticated coffee drinkers.

I realize the bar is low for a product like Metamusil, but jeezus the commercial I saw was awful. I think it was supposed to be 2 anchors off camera talking about how much they love the stuff (maybe filmed during covid so they couldn't be in the same room?). So stupid and just plain weird.

Pretty much every company has a commercial that can be annoying, like the new McD's and Tim's ones. Like really, you use several examples of the previous years to show how crappy your coffee is, BUT, you finally got it right this year? But every single Questrade commercial for the past decade actually pisses me off with how condescending and arrogant it comes off. I can't believe that it's been effective enough that they haven't switched up the tone of them.

The premises of their advertisements is belittling people that don't invest with them and the reality is the majority of people watching the commercials aren't likely investing with Questrade. Belittling viewers is just not an effective way to warm people to their brand.

The Questrade ads suck, but they seem to be getting a lot of action these days. It takes 2-3 hours to get through to account support right now because they are so busy...it used to "only" take 30 minutes.

The A&W commercial testing the new coffee is actually so funny, the one guy who literally gets half a second and says "OH man" brings me to tears its so cringy and painful and forced it actually becomes funny.
