Default Network Wiring Help

Hey guys,

All the 'networks' I've ever set up have consisted of a modem and a router. I am moving to a house that has cat6 run to the main floor living room and the bonus room upstairs.

On cyber Monday I purchase the nighthawk MK63 wireless mesh wifi 6 system.
Doing some research it looks like wired backhaul is well worth it if you are able. The system does work with a switch to have wired backhaul from both satellite units.

My issue is that the satellites only have 1 ethernet port, so I have to choose between wired backhaul or having another device hardwired. I was hoping I could just use a switch so I can have the wired backhaul along with having my TV and gaming consoles hardwired.

Attached is a picture of what I'm looking to do.

Yes, that's fine. Just make sure you buy switches and not hubs.
