In that final clip where the mysterious figure approaches the body, you can hear the sound of an Imperial probe droid before the sound of spurs. My money is on it being Moff Gideon.
Was that character a big part somewhere in the expanded universe? We all know what a fairly major actor was attached to the project and we haven't seen them then yet. With only a few episodes left is it really a sitter to discuss their appearance?

Which character?
I haven't seen any characters that were big in the new or even the legends EU.
All of the main characters are new intros.

I really wasn't expecting a monster-of-the-week type show for a Star Wars series with an 8 episode season. The only thing keeping this thing interesting is the production value and all the OT Star Wars nostalgia. If this show didn't have a Star Wars license it would be incredibly dull

But what is the story? Do we even really know? Seems like to me right now the story is just survival. He's doing what he needs to do to try and stay afloat.
I find this shows format to be refreshing honestly. A lot of self contained stories in the episodes.
If you haven't yet take a look at the cameos in this episode, there were a few I did not recognize at all.

This is interesting because I’m the exact opposite. This is exactly what I expected the series to be. I agree that the overarching storyline could be progressed a bit quicker but I expected each episode to just be a new job with some progression to the overall story.

This is the first episode I thought was bad. Really cliche, and cheesy. The last few weeks have me a little worried about the direction and intent of this show while still letting me appreciate the production quality and setting. I'm hoping we're not heading for a tiny bit of story progression at the end of episode eight in cliffhanger fashion.

Matt Latner (The voice of Anakin Skywalker in the Clone Wars was the poor republic Soldier)
Dave Filoni was the lead X-Wing pilot his wing men were Deborah Chow who directed the third episode, the other pilot was Rick Famayiwa who directed the episode.
I kind of liked the episode and the structure of the series, its like the old serials that you'd see in movies where you'd get the weekly adventures of the character, or else like the old Westerns like Gunsmoke and Maverick. I expect that a couple of things are going to happen, somethings going to draw a lot of these characters together for the last two episodes, and we're going to meet the big bad. the Mandalorian is leaving a lot of enemies alive behind him, that's got to play into it.
While I don't think that this episode was particularly strong it had some neat moments.
Spoiler!
The Easter Egg about Imperial Stormtrooper aim was great.
I loved it when the youngling was closing his eyes to use the Force and the Droid exploded and he looked at his hand like WTF, I'm a total badass
Clancy Brown is always great, but seeing him life up the one door to have the other door crush him made me laugh.
The maybe he's a gungan under there fell a bit flat for me.

Baby Yoda looking at his hand is my new favourite part.

I thought 6 was the best episode yet.
Nice to have more characters in the mix and I liked Mando getting into some scraps with them.
Agree the lack of overall story progression is concerning me too however.

I agree, the episode was good. It's just too bad that it didn't really add anything to the progression of the story.
But one of the best things about the show is its characters. I find myself liking almost every character that they introduce. It's always weird to see Bill Burr not acting like a comedian. But he did a good job.

He did an amazing job. I wasn't crazy about Tonks playing the Twilek she was a bit over the top, and did she really think that throwing knives at a heavily armored dude was going to work.
I loved the shoulder gun, it reminded me of my shoulder mounted missile launcher when I play KOTR as a bounty hunter.
I kind love the Droid doing the maneuvering banking now, jamming now, and they're getting thrown all over the ship and Baby Yoda gets dropped and squeeled and they're grumbling about a lack of countdown
I don't mind that this is a bunch of non connected storylines of a man trying to make his way in the universe with the overlying question of the reason for the Baby Bounty.
I expect with 2 episodes left, we're going to see the entrance of the seasons key villain, and a possible link to the First Order.
