That there are 50 goalies within a mile of the arena who are more qualified than a 42 year old zamboni driver to come in and play in relief in an NHL game. Which is 100% correct. That shouldn't have happened. But it's such a great story because it did.

Jeez Burke is being a wet blanket. It's a great story, just enjoy it a little bit, life is too short.
I agree with you. Just enjoy it.
I will admit Burke has a point but now is not the time or place to be crapping on what will likely be one of the best stories of the year in all of sports.
I understand Burke is well respected in the hockey community, but his monotone voice always reminds me of that "boom goes the dynamite" sportscaster a while back.
Bruins looking like a tired team at the end of a road trip. Bummer.
I don't think so at all. A tired team doesn't usually have this good and consistent a forecheck. Plenty of time left for a comeback.

Yeah, I think that's probably about all she wrote for the Bruins.
So is the narrative wrong? is the Pacific Division actually good? Because the Coyotes put up a touchdown on the Bolts tonight, after the Golden Knights ended their winning streak, and now the Canucks are routing Boston who have one loss in their last 12? Hockey's weird sometimes.

I think it's more the trip through Western Canada. It's like the old trip through California. It's draining.

The Pacific Division is not good. One of these teams is likely going to back their way into the playoffs by not losing as much as the other teams they are fighting with.
I get the idea that the Flames (or anyone else in the Pacific) shouldn't go for it, but man, with the division wide open anyone has a chance to win a round or two, really.
In fact, the worst thing that could happen for Calgary or Edmonton would be for the Canucks to miss, because that would probably get Benning fired, and he really is the gift that keeps on giving to everyone else.
As an aside, Keefe looked massively ticked off following the Leafs game. Can't blame him. They don't show up in Pittsburgh until it's over already, come back and play a huge statement game at home, and then this.
I usually don't listen to Overdrive after a Leaf win, but I will definitely be tuned in Monday afternoon. Should be gold.

You don't even have to wait that long. I'm sure an LFR will go up tonight. Do not wear headphones for that one.
EDIT: There it is!

Watching the American feed and they interviewed Ayres - apparently he is a practice goalie for the Marlies and/or Leafs...said he's on the ice with them tomorrow.
Watching it from the injury replacement...don't think I've seen a performance so dominate since Team Canada in 2014. Right down to the white/red jerseys. TOR looked like Team Liechtenstein out there.
Gotta imagine CAR brings him down as a guest for a home game soon!
