nissan made something new! And it doesn't look like garbage! And it's not huge! This has me interested. The crew cab with an actual useful 6.1ft long bed, that is.
Boo. Why make it harder to load? Silly alfonso. In general i like it thoguh. Human scale truck. Win.
But I'm more curious as to why when you quoted me, it removed some of the capitalization. Not all. Just Nissan, and this I "In general i like it". Baffling.
Not bad - I'd say they moved it from being severely dated to 'indistinguishable' from the rest of the midsize Crossover blob that dominates sales. I know lots of people want Pathfinder to return to the body on frame ruggedness, but lets be serious - Nissan needs a volume seller and it's now Pathfinder. Look for the Xterra to be the Jeep/Bronco fighter. Nissan dropping the troublesome JATCO CVT for a new 9 speed is noteworthy and a good step back to decency.
One last thing - what's with the trend of spelling out the model name in G I A N T L E T T E R S on the back of the hatch? Tacky - reminds me of:

The new Pathfinder is an improvement and will probably be a good seller for the soccer moms who only look at SUVs. I agree with I-Hate-Hulse that the old body on frame Pathfinders look better, but honestly, they drove like garbage and people don't offroad or tow with Pathfinders so unibody is the better choice.
I think my old Pathfinder looked way better than the new one, though:
I thought it looked exactly like the new model Chevy SUV (traverse I think it’s called) which I always mistake for Explorers. So yah, lots of similarities in that category.

I guess Nissan is like a bad politician, you just expect everything to be awful. So when they make something passable, you give them more credit than they maybe deserve.

I guess Nissan noticed the Telluride has become pretty popular so they decided they needed to spell out P A T H F I N D E R on the rear end in hopes buyers would confuse their 2nd rate Japanese SUV for a 1st rate Korean SUV.

Kind of like in Arrested Development when their stock was upgraded from a Sell to a Don't Buy and everyone was super jazzed.
Since we're pumping up Nissan, Savage Geese posted this video this morning and gave the Rogue the highest praise I've seen for a Nissan from any automotive journalist in long time...the Rogue is "Far From a Disaster". Woohoo, go Nissan!
