Great pitching by the Jays. Strowman looked solid, Biagini and Giles had a good outing on the mound too.

Just to touch on Giles, if he has the kind of year he is capable of the Jays could get a pretty good set of pieces for him at the deadline.
Also Tulo hitless in his opening debut.

Good. Atkins comments were stupid but they did him a favour and he has been nothing but a baby since.

Will be interesting to see what kind of a year Biagini has now that he knows his role and can run with it, instead of bouncing back and forth from AAA and MLB struggling to be a starter.

I'm going to go with a worse record than most 62-100. They really don't have guys who will be consistent, so even then I think 62 wins may be conservative. Chalk it up to a rebuilding season. Should be good to watch young guys at least trying hard.

I'm saying closer to 60 than 70. If Stroman and Sanchez look anywhere decent these first months, maybe even Grichick, they're sold off to the highest bidder in July, and that's when the team will really suck.

Leadoff triple by Drury followed by 3 straight KO’s. That’s the Jays I remember. I swear that over the last few years they must lead the league in stranded runners with less than 2 outs.

Shoemaker is having a good start. Detroit looks like they'll pile up the runs this year.

If the Jays want to teach their kids anything, it's patience. Over the long haul it'll help if they can take pitches and wear out other teams' pitchers.

Sanchez paints the left side of the plate, ball, Turnbull throws an inch off the left side, strike!

I think this is where the Jays are really going to miss Martin. Jansen needs to tell the Umps not to give up on the pitch. Sanchez has such great late movement that cuts back over the plate.

It's early and they'll probably have a tough year but fun to watch so far. Glavis looks like a great pick up.

The pitching has been great so far. Sanchez’s stuff has so much movement it’s crazy but he kept it around the strike zone so far, walks have been an issue for him so only issuing 3 passes is nice to see.
I’m really curious about Trent Thornton tomorrow.
