Depends how often you play in handheld mode...I rarely do so its pointless for me. I also have a unpatched switch that actually has standard stuff like Netflix and media players. It's crazy to me the Wii had better multimedia functionality.

Mine says Tuesday which is okay, Amazon got me the OLED today so I'm redownloading a few hundred gigs overnight. Got a glass screen protector perfectly placed too.

Agreed on the quality of the screen. The OLED really does make a difference, Metroid looks brilliant.
I can't find an official dock anywhere. Are there decent alternatives out there?
Nintendo website has refurbished ones. We bought one for the bedroom and it's worked just fine. Frickin awesome actually. A bit pricey for a used dock but ya, read issues with the off brand ones. Think it had something to do with the power they were sending to the switch causing them to brick.

I’m going to try to get an OLED model. The main reason I rarely play portable is because the screen sucks.

I'm quite pleased with mine. I generally succumb to most gadget lust though, so I might not be the best person to weigh in on it - but I'll say it is a significant add and really helps Nintendo's generally colourful library of games pop.

It's absolutely worth the upgrade imo. I flipped back to try to play with the old screen and it really sucked.
I think EB games (gamestop) is doing a console trade in deal. It might be a little different with the whole update versus transfer but I heard that they might be allowing people to pay the full price initially, then getting a refund with the trade in so that people can do a transfer if you wanted to do that.

I threw the used dock that I offered you onto to kijiji and it's already gone. Demand is crazy for it for some reason.

I ordered from Best Buy on Friday and it still hasn't shipped as of now. I know there was the holiday yesterday but figured it would go out this morning.
Annoying thing is I saw it in person at Walmart on Saturday but couldn't cancel this Best Buy order as it was 'In Progress' already.
