Is that for sure the game day lineup? I'm surprised no lazar after a definite need for speed from watching last game

Why is it always a challenge to get excited watching the Wild? Shouldn't they be Wild to watch?

Dubnyk played last night so I wonder if we see Stalock in for the Wild...

Oops. I just assumed Mony was being double-shifted because Bennett was in the box again...

While it 's fun watching Jagr and Gaudreau together, I don't think that is the best way to structure the lines.

The bottom 6 still has exactly 0 goals this season, and I don't think pulling Jagr out of the mix, just when he is starting to get going, is going to help the cause.

And the other thing is that Gaudreau and Monahan seem to produce about the same, regardless of who is on their line. Personally, I thought Lazar was giving them energy.

Also, I think Backlund and Frolik can carry someone like Versteeg or Brouwer.

We need to get the 3rd line going. And we need to get Bennett going.

Tkachuk - Bennett - Jagr

Then when Jankowski comes up, Tkachuk can go back to Backlund's line and we run with: Bennett - Jankowski - Jagr

The one thing I like about having Jagr on the Top line is that it forces Gaudreau and Monahan to back check more since Jagr is so slow.

Gaudreau said it himself as well that he has to back check more now.

Being 4-3 after 7 games is a blessing. This is the typical Flames slow start to the season with Mike Smith being the only reason we’re above .500. The good news is the team as a whole have so much more potential than what is being currently showcased. If they can give a full 60 minute effort, stay disciplined (looking at you Bennett) and actually execute some breakouts we should be fine. Will they though?

What I've noticed when the team is playing poor is that we look terribly slow. Overall, I wouldn't characterize the team as a slow-skating team so that's a red flag in my eyes; is that simply a matter of work ethic? Secondly, it seems puck carriers tend to be isolated when moving through the neutral zone or crossing the blue line; forwards are way ahead of the play. Is this an issue of cheating or guys feeling out the system? Either way, I hope it's stuff that's corrected for tonight.

When the Flames are on, we are quick in the transition with quick, short passes moving up ice.

Does anyone know who the play by play team will be tonight? Being it's a Saturday night so Rick Ball and Hrudey may not be available.
