When all the forwards are healthy again, I'd really like to see a line-up of:
Tkachuk-Monahan-Mangiapane
Gaudreau-Lindholm-Dube
Czarnik-Backlund-Bennett
Lucic-Ryan-Jankowski/Frolik
Reasoning:
Line 1: Johnny has completely shied away from any sort of corner or below the goal line play, which renders Monahan establishing himself in the slot useless. With Tkachuk and Mangiapane, he has 2 wingers who will dig, and get the puck out front, but can also put the puck in the net.
Line 2: Lindholm and Dube can work the corners and get the puck back to Johnny along the half wall to drive the play.
Line 3: is a good mix of speed and grit, while being defensively responsible. Also capable of some limited offense.
Line 4: Lucic and Ryan seem to have decent chemistry, Jankowski and Frolik can cycle through, though Jankowski likely has the edge as the PK specialist now.

I like that Gaudreau was moved down, he just isn't playing well. maybe being forced to play with grittier guys will force him to play with a little more grit himself.
Who's going to score on that line though? All three are primarily passers.
I'm interested to see how it plays out.

Chucky's awesome.
A few other pics on Rob Kerr's feed (BSD for instance).

They were playing great, but who was scoring the goals?
I actually really like the move, I just don't know who's going to put the puck in the net.

Ryan seems to have the scoring touch lately but I agree maybe it is just to try and force one of them to take a shot no matter how much they dont want to. But I am kind of excited to watch the game tomorrow if these are the lines

You don't need a dedicated shutdown line in that situation, just my opinion.
Tkachuk is good defensively. Mangiapane doesn't seem like a liability, and while Monahan ain't Bergeron, he also isn't Schremp.
Backlund and Lindholm are good enough to compensate for Gaudreau's shortcomings, and when Johnny puts his mind to it he's very effective at backtracking and picking pockets.
Both lines should be able to function against whoever the opposition wants to throw out there.

Czarnik on the 2nd line? Someone is seriously suggesting/guessing Czarnik to play on the 2nd line; legitimately? Just wanna make sure.

I wish there was some better options but who?
If Lindholm is in fact going to get longer looks at center who are our ideal wingers for the top 6?
Gaudreau, Tkachuk and Mangiapane are good to play in the top 6 with Monahan and Lindholm but who else has shown any flashes of offensive ability that are suited for top 6 minutes?
Its gotta be between Czarnik, Bennett or Dube unless we do actually move one of Backlind or Monahan to the wing.
Czarnik is plugged in there because top 6 RW is a major hole on our roster.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Its not like Czarnik hasn't played up on the 2L or looked out of place. He had spurts with Tkachuk & Backlund where he looked pretty darn good. Just couldn't put it together consistently.
