There are certain people that come through your organization that you really need to hang on to in some capacity. The Flames have done a good job at identifying these guys (see Craig Conroy, Martin Gelinas, Brian McGrattan) and finding roles for them in hockey ops and player development.

Matt Stajan is one of those people. I hope to see him in the front office soon.

I was also there for Game 6 -- definitely one of the best games I've been able to attend live.

He was an excellent ambassador as well, he and his wife did a lot of great charity work.

Always frustrated me as a player. But always a great guy. Despite the frustrations the more guys like him around the organization the better.

Game 6 goal against the Canucks will always hold a special place in my heart and therefore so will he. I hope he has a happy and fulfilling retirement that somehow involves work with the Flames and community.
