Default Flames 3 Senators 1

Game Takes: Flames 3 Senators 1

- Great night from bottom six
- Late goal looked like OT again
- Flames beating poor teams a start

Agree that Johnny is turning the puck over a lot at the far blue line. The Flames transition is slow and zone entries are bad.

He once again was spotted hustling back on more than one occasion.

For people that paint him as a defensive question mark, it’s not due to lack of effort

Often he’s hustling back to cover for his own gaffes
I agree it’s not lack of effort but often it is due to poor decision making

Flames outhit 21-15

Leading hitter Dube with 3 and Reider with 2 ... what makes a bottom six look good.

Six Flames with no hits: Gaudreau, Ryan, Frolik, Jankowski, Monahan and Gio.

Brady outhit Matt 4-1

Bingo’s Game Takes threads have taken a peculiar turn as of late.

So since you're still into this stuff, ...

Do you feel the recently physical Calgary Flames took the night off physically and were dominated by a much fiercer Ottawa Senators team?

The "Thanks' button is easy, but I'll take a minute to actually say thanks to Bingo for the Game Takes. It's the Post Game content I look forward to the most, with Zamler's and Gaskal's a close second, as it puts a sober check on my usually one-way-or-the-other gut reaction to a game.

I'm glad you didn't die from cancer (from a three time cancer survivor myself).

Three times!?

Yikes

And thanks for the kind words, means a lot to be honest. One never knows how much the things are actually read.

Yeah it was a blood bath. They'll be feeling that for days.
