I agree, but i highly doubt they trade either unless they fall right out of the playoff picture, which really isn't likely IMO.

The difference between a wildcard team and a divisional spot might be one point.

It's hard to fall out of the playoff picture in the wide open west.

Only LA has really been doing that.

Treliving traded Glencross in a year where they had a shot ... though they lost Giordano too injury too.

Maybe the last season collapse, this year rough start, crazy coach controversy allows him to think this just isn't their year and they do move one at the deadline (extend the other) for a return.

Imagine the Flames with three 1st's this coming draft, the haul would likely be better than 2013, 6th Sean Monahan, 22nd Emile Poirier, and 28th Morgan Klimchuk.

Yes, one #1 centre, if you'll remember, the offer was all three Calgary 1st rounders for the 1st overall. (for an even better #1 centre.

I'm hoping the Flames exceed that 2013 draft.

Yelesin was assigned to Stockton, so Hamonic's back for the next game

With Dube being integral to the 3rd line and Mangipane on the 2nd now, who do they send down when Czarnik gets back?

I guess Reider.

Rinaldo when Czarnik is cleared to return and Rieder when Bennett is.

Good "problem" to have. Rieder looked great yesterday and is starting to use his speed more

That was so different though. His first year as GM on a team with very low expectations. Much easier to play for the future in that scenario IMO.
