I agree. They go off on rants because they care. These are guys that really give a crap which we need on this team. They don't just do it for mind games like the Babcock tree, there is a genuine message and sincerity in their rants.

Regardless of this Peter's scandal, the players still need to man up . It's a major concern for me that 3 coaches cannot seem to keep this core engaged. I get that gully sucked. Peter's got a 50 w season out of them an then they poop the first quarter of the season this year. Hartley had tapped into some kind of magic and got them to round 2 with probably the worst roster out of all 3 coaches.

The players have to be held more accountable this time
Hire the new coach. If they dont like it, move them.

Nevermind Whoopi Goldberg, lets get Goldberg.

New opening theme song with steam every time he steps on the bench and he'll tell every team they're next. McDavid would miss every game due to an undisclosed illness.

Only a matter of time until one of his stick tosses hit someone.

I am interested to see what Ward does with the job.

Keep Gelinas and / or Conroy on the bench for the remainder of the year.

How great would it be to learn that he is a players coach and also a good coach ?

According to Capfriendly, Rick Tocchet is in the final year of his contract. I wonder if he will look to move on after this season.

Ok, Gelly can stay too.
I would avoid the franchise past hero. Too hard on fans to see the eventual fail. The "Old Boy" system was a fail for the Oil, and that stink still lingers. For my team, seeing Savard struggle was painful.
