I think more people showed up to the Press Conference then the Heat had in Game 1 of the playoffs. That place looked packed.

Also announced is there there will be a mascot. The Abbotsford Heat had Hawkey the Hawk and I believe the Phantoms had some Beaver sort of thing that some reports said would be made available to a new team if requested.

Curious to see what they end up with.

There seems to be two different fonts used for the wording. One that matches the Flames and on the banners at the Press Conference and one that the AHL and Adirondak Twitter is using:

So...just playing around here with the colours that seem to be released, this could potentially be how the jersey looks (note: this is something I made, this is not anything officially released or insider info. Just me bored and had access to photoshop and curiosity):



The red looks far better then the white. Any mockup I tried in home colours and white looks terrible.

One of the best stats, the attendance while the Phantoms occupied the arena was between 85-87%. The Heat last season had the arena filled 43% (as per attendance announcements) and for the 5 years they spent in Abbotsford, averaged 51%. The Heat's best attendance was the first season there and that was only 55% capacity of the arena.
