Elson's quietly having a good series. Maybe he needed some time in the ECHL to get used to the size and speed of the pro ranks?

Cincinnati won their series tonight in OT so winner of this one will face them.

Currently 2-0 in the 2nd for the Aces.

Going to the ECHL has done some good for him, Ramage and LaFranchise by the looks of things. They seem to show up regularly on the score sheet. Have 4 points between them tonight.

Also of note, Roy is not in net tonight. Coleman is.

Looking at his size and stats, he might be worth an invite to the Heat training camp over Roy. He looks to be unsigned by an NHL/AHL team.

They've been praising him on the Aces' Facebook page from what I can see. Might be worth an invite at least.

Sorry, you can't have Coleman. Thanks for the offer though.

He's 6'5", seems pretty agile for his size and in that sweet spot for ideal goalie age (29). Seems to have a modestly decorated junior and ECHL career.

Really can't see the harm in taking a look. He's probably familiar with Ortio as well so if it worked out he has some history with him as well as some of the defence.

I wouldn't mind giving him an AHL contract. He probably does know Ortio as you mention. Furthermore, letting him Gillies play as a 2 goalie tandem in a couple years might give him a chance to mentor Gillies a bit. Goalies are trending upwards and Gillies might be able to pick up a point or two on playing as a big pro goalie and how it differs from the junior circuit.

Well, happy birthday Kane LaFranchise. Bruce Taylor trophy, Kelly Cup final spot, 2 assists and the 3rd star of the game.

Good luck buying him an awesome birthday gift after that!
