With Tanev and Kylington out, my confidence in a win is at an all-time low.

It's Chicago though, and they are actively tanking, so there is some hope I guess.

Free points, let’s see if the team can take advantage.

what is happening around here, we are right in the mix and have a chance to go on a run with our newer guys getting better at playing the system and we get these comments?

We are in a playoff spot, this team isn't in last place. Sigh.

Just win, GFG.

I'm allowed to be a pessimist.

Tanev is the defensive glue that keeps this team together and he is out. Need I remind you how the Flames fell apart without him vs the Oil in the playoffs?

If markstrom ever did get his game back this year, at least his workload would be way down for when the playoffs come.

I put the Flames falling apart vs the Oilers more on the fact that they couldn't rely on their sieve of a goalie to make a basic stop.

Makes sense to get him a game before the all star break and doing so against the Hawks should be a recipe for success. Vladar can go tomorrow against the Kraken.

Nothing else matters but getting 4 points here before the break. This team, after all the ups and downs this year could be only 2 points out of 1st in the division with the second easiest strength of schedule the rest of the way.

I can agree with being nervous with Tanev out but Kylington has not played a single game this year not sure how that would add to any nervousness.

In case anyone's wondering, Markstrom was wearing dark (i.e. red and black) pads and gloves on Monday, so I suspect that's what he'll be using tonight.

I know some posters were annoyed that he was wearing white pads with Blasty last week against Colorado.

I agree. The dark jerseys have been used way to much in succession last month, and right now. Space them out and let them breathe.

I've got more faith than you in Zadarov-Weegar, who I think should be a pairing 100% of the time.

Hanifin - Andersson
Zadarov - Weegar
Kylington - Tanev

...god I hope we get that six going, but we're getting pretty late in the season

I think that Tanev on the third pairing and PK time would also help on wear and tear.
I'd be comfortable rolling those three lines almost equally.

I wonder when they got an inkling that Kylington wouldn't be available this year ... at camp or in the summer?

Imagine this team if they didn't bring Zadorov back this year?!
