All I can get
Heat lose 5-4 in OT, so they'll have to wait another day to clinch first place.
SCORING

Ontario loses in regulation and the Heat lose in OT, so the Heat's magic number for the Division is down to one point.
The Heat have 3 games remaining and Ontario has 2.

Wow a 4 assist night as well for Pelletier pushing him to 62 points on the year and almost a point a game with 63 played. So glad we kept him through the deadline, he’s going to be money for us and I think he’ll turn beast mode on in the playoffs for the Heat. Oh and Matty Phillips got his 30th of the year and hassle 30/37 for 67 pts through 62 GP.

Could've had an assist on the Phillips goal.
According to the Box Score, he did get that assist.

Apparently they get a bye into the 2nd round too, so they will have lots of time to sit around without game action and get rusty.

4-1 win over the San Diego Gulls.
Wolf returned to Stockton. I assume that he'll get the last regular season game before the playoffs start

Pettersen was first star, with 2g, 1a. No Zary, and nothing in terms of offense for Pelletier or Phillips tonight...
Was Kinnvall healthy scratched again?

Pettersen’s two goals might be some the nicest anyone in the org has scored all year. Super smooth.
Hoping he gets a long look on the Heat’s top line next year once Pelletier graduates.

In the AHL, the teams play a different number of games, so the final standings are based on points percentage. Right now, with one game remaining, the Heat are first overall.
Chicago has 2 games remaining and are the only team that can catch the Heat.
If my math is correct, here are the scenarios:
On Saturday, the Heat are in Bakersfield. Their final percentage will be the following, if they...
Lose in Regulation: 0.713
Lose in OT/SO: 0.721
Win: 0.728
Chicago's final percentage will be the following based on all possible results:
0-2-0 = 0.697
0-1-1 = 0.704
1-1-0 / 0-0-2 = 0.711
1-0-1 = 0.717
2-0-0 = 0.724
Chicago's final game is Saturday at 6:00pm CT and Stockton's final game is Saturday at 6:00pm PT. So, Chicago's final game will be almost over before Stockton's begins and the Heat will know what they need to do.

I just noticed that 5 of the top 9 teams in the entire league (points %) are from the Heats division.
I know they only play in division but that seems crazy to me.
