well technically he could play in the AHL right now as he was drafted out of the KHL and not bound by the CHL/AHL/NHL agreement. I don't think the Flames think he is ready for that though.

Would have liked to see him in a Hitmen jersey, but that seems unlikely now. They have the 56th pick, but it sounds like with Donbass a no-go for this season that Padakin might return to the Hitmen. And I believe Fazleev is returning as well so that's both our Import players.
