I just dislike how the local media have been uncurious and not pressed the coach or GM about it as well. Barn Burner had Craig on and didn't even ask.

Too much appeal to authority going on I suspect and you can see it with some fans too: If Brad and Darryl don't want him up, then they must be right, so if you want him up you are missing something that the more wise hockey eye can see.

I think Pike suggested weeks back on fan 960 the callup could be Walker Duehr, and Francis dropped that name too after the Washington game. Really? that's who the NHL club needs?

Why is there such a large difference in +/- between Phillips/Pelletier and Zary?

They're on different lines.

Pelletier–Zohorna–Phillips
Pettersen–Zary–Schwindt

With the injuries cleared up, the Flames have more than $1.25 million in cap space and a 22 man active roster. They can call up any player on the Wranglers roster without problem.

Do it, Bradley!

I understand not calling him up when we have Gaudreau, but now there really is no excuse. We lack offensive talent specifically at RW. If it doesn't work out fine, but no excuse not to at least give it a whirl. 2nd line RW please.

Okay boys, you have me convinced, I'm ready for a call up too. A couple more losses and we'll be able to pressure management into it.

3 assists for Phillips today. 26 points in 18 games now.

Any one of the 3 should be called uo, or just say f*** it and call all 3 (Pelletier,Zary and Phillips)up, it's not like it'd hurt anyone on the main roster.

If Phillips comes up, Sutter needs to give him a chance to shine. Sticking him with a bunch of plugs isn’t going to be helpful.

I’d like to see:

Huberdeau-Kadri-Toffoli
Ruzicka-Lindholm-Phillips
Dube-Backlund-Mangiapane
Lucic-Coleman-Ritchie

Ideally, we could replace Looch with Pelletier and maybe move him up.

I still have some patience for Sutter but if he sticks Phillips on line four with Lewis and Rooney and gives them seven minutes a game then I’ll be fully on the fire him train. But considering the crap lines he put Phillips on in the preseason this would not surprise me.

When is the last time Coleman get played center?
I agree with you otherwise.

You’re doing gods work Scorp with those highlights and tweets; I’ve wanted Phillips to have a look for so long now and there’s really no better time to do it. If back to back 3 point nights and 12 in the past 6 isn’t knocking the door down at this point I don’t know when it will be. I’m rooting for him big time and have a belief that if he’s just given a look playing in a top 6 spot with good players he will prove he belongs.

I have a nagging feeling that Phillips could be a guy who clicks with Huby.

That's what I'm afraid of, Sutter sticking him with Lucic and Lewis.
