The actual results of the poll are NDP - 38%, UCP - 32%, ACP 3% and 25% undecided.
They also had Calgary tied which basically means NDP gains are coming from Edmonton or rural seats where additional NDP votes mean nothing.
I'm assuming they think the undecided are similar to the undecided posters here. People who vote Conservative all the time but are annoyed by them now, but will likely end up voting for them anyways.
Polls also have a tough time when there is a possible shift in large sections of the population as they have to base their samples on past results. This is what happens in the US with like Florida where a big chunk of hispanic population has shifted Republican but the polls haven't their assumptions to fully catch on to this. If a big chunk of Calgary voters are going to shift - its harder to pick that up in a small sample.

Ok I might have misheard but is there a UCP radio ad on the FAN equating driving a drunk friend home from a party after you've had a few (ie drinking and driving) with voting for the NDP, ie good intentions but bad judgment?
Who comes up with this garbage?

The same people who thought comparing cultural genocide to how Ottawa treats Alberta was a good idea.

So in this scenario..the UCP are blackout drunk, while the NDP had a couple light beers?

If you're going to campaign now, just call an election. 4 months is too long to wait through all this BS.

And that compare selfish people living with the results of their choices with the injustice wrought on minorities through history. We aren't dealing with serious people here.

The UCP has a formula. Govern for 3 1/2 years, make a complete hash of it, switch leaders, blame the last one, start with a ‘clean slate’…

So, hard to get help at a hospital, and my budget is stretched to the extreme, but....rodeo and an advocate for the unvaccinated will settle all that? Cool cool.

Petition to the Leg to rename this role to Minister of Anti-Vaccination Tripe and Other Jingoistic Numbskullery.
If we can't get rid of the taxpayer waste, we can at least rename it more accurately.

Living at this point in time brings me to recall this Carl Sagan quote which he wrote ten months before he died in 1996. He was writing about 2021. It's about America but I think it aptly applies to us as well. Unfortunately, we are living his fear.
Quote:

The dumbing down of American is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance

The mass ignorance prevalent in today's society makes me fear for our future.
