This is a direct play at the orphan voter block. Her goal is to do just enough for the Orphans to say she just said all of that stuff on her radio show for ratings and her leadership campaign she said what she had to to get elected but now she is heading back toward the middle where I’m comfortable.
Ah yes, the Kenney strategy. Worked out so well for him. Let's see how this plays out for her.

She's now finally realizing that the moderates are the key to her survival. Talking #### about ridiculous ideas and right-wing populist schlock only goes so far. Too bad she's damaged the middle ground so badly, now she's doing a Hollywood Hogan-style NWO turn on her anti-vaxx base.
They shouldn't be surprised though, this is the same power-hungry Judas who crossed the floor to the PC's when to gain political points for her own career and self-interests. And it cost her big time.

not acknowledging/getting grumpy when asked her about her mistakes - as per what she, herself, said in scripted remarks during her tv address.
And earlier, her house chair saying focused on caucus priorities, and anything on vaccination etc to ask Premier Smith directly.

Telling Hollywood crews that they can't have grants unless they remove vaccination requirements is only going to cause them to go elsewhere, just as Alberta is starting to get a foothold in the film & tv industry. Their talent is too valuable and expensive to risk shutdowns due to covid.
Some events may go forward because they need the grant money, but larger more well-financed events will just skip Alberta the same as concerts do with the Saddledome.

I've lived in BC for 20 years and I can recall barely a handful of incidences where someone said anything bad about Alberta or Albertans. Maybe the odd comment about Alberta drivers (same as BC drivers IMO), but nothing worth mentioning. Possibly some good-natured ribbing from time to time.
This whole BC hates Alberta thing is a totally fabricated victim complex. The reality is that a ton of British Columbians are transplanted Albertans, have relatives in Alberta, or don't really care much about Alberta. Frankly, it is bizarre to hear you mention it.

In my experience, those ones are the worst. Last ones who were here said "this place is such an ugly dump, I don't know how anyone could choose to live here." So no, it's not fabricated. I've heard it plenty.

For the record, I'm a transplanted Albertan. I love BC, will probably live here forever, but have nothing but good things to say about Alberta and the majority of Albertans, notwithstanding the fact that there are foolish idiots everywhere.
