1Password is Free
I didn't want this to get lost in the password threads.
1Password for iOS is free today. In my opinion it's the best app for what it does. Not sure how long the sale will last.

Have been looking for a password manager lately, I'll give this one a shot, good be a good pairing with their desktop app as well.

I've been using 1Password for a while now and it is awesome. It takes some getting used to, but once it becomes habit it's pretty spectacular. I do not know any of my passwords off by heart and they are all different and complex.
Highly recommended.

Seriously?
That's a pretty dickish response.

Meh. I'm sure he was joking. I'm not offended in the least

Most likely my favourite app of all time. 1Password shows its true value when there's a massive compromise on the scale of Sony's PSN or that big one a few months back. Being able to jump into the app and immediately see what services share the same password as the one compromised can literally save hours. The password generator is great too to keep you from using the same crap over and over again. Plus you can specify how it constructs them so when you're met with a sign up that requires stupid rules (character, number, hyphen, specific length), you can customize it easily.
I keep tons of info in mine beyond login passwords. Wifi passwords, product license keys, health insurance/care #s etc. It's always accessible.
Anybody with a 5S or newer will benefit huge as you'll be able to access it on your phone with a fingerprint scan starting today when iOS 8 releases.

I think they earn revenue by selling the desktop (Mac/Windows) client - correct?

The app is usually about $15 I think. In this case though, yes, the goal is to get you to use it on the phone to get used to it and then buy the desktop client. I know it's not cheap, but it's very helpful to have them all. Being able to log into anything in your web browser using a hotkey combination is pretty much the best ever (it enters both fields and hits the submit button for you).

I got it on Android and it talks about the paid Premium version. Is that where they make their money and what you need for full functionality and usefulness?
(Also the advantage of Android is that my nude pics haven't been leaked)

For sure - I'm willing to pay for an app. I just know the android app had been little more than an afterthought until recently, and I don't want to tie myself to something that I may hate using.
Edit: Here is a review from when the android app was overhauled - http://www.theverge.com/2014/6/10/57...droid-released

Hope you got it while you could. Apparently it was a pricing error related to iOS 8 confusion.

I should say; I use Lastpass because of the cloud sync, in addition to generating different, random long passwords for each site. I like that I can us eit on chrome at home or at work, or on my iphone.
Can 1Password do that? Any other killer features to 1Password? is it good on chrome/windows? or is it the Mac-equivalent to Lastpass?

1Password can sync via iCloud or Dropbox. I've heard both apps are very good at what they do. For some reason I think Last Pass might be better for teams. I can't speak to the chrome/windows functionality.

Well not so much stolen, but I emailed them around. I just figured that would be the best protection against getting hacked.
