What a way to esentially finish off their careers. Carry the flag and win two gold medal in those Olympics. Pretty awesome for Moir and Virtue to go out like this.

That was incredible knowing the had to beat their personal best to have a chance. I thought they did it, but the French score was so high I was pretty worried.

Back at 2010 I thought Virtue and Moir were the real turning point for the Games. So used were Canadians at watching their favorites stumble and fall on the biggest stage. Sure you had some exceptions, but it seemed crumbling on the big stage (or at least struggling to victory) was the norm. But when they won it's because they were perfect. No controversy, no scraping by, they nailed everything i a way we just were rarely used to seeing Canadians win.
Having them do it again, and go down as the best of all time (because really, who could consider anybody else better?) is the only way for them to go out. Just outstanding, among the best Olympians ever as far as I'm concerned.
Also, there's the Meredith take on it:

Cnn.com has Tessa and scott on their front page.
Well down the page, but they are on it.
(Not sure if it's because it knows I'm from canada)

It looks like it's scheduled for 7:51pm in PyeongChang. I believe that's 3:51am in Calgary.
If I'm reading the schedule correctly, there will be three O Canada performances in a row starting just after 3:30am:

The 2 Man Bobsled is first, then Scott & Tessa, then the Women's Half Pipe Skiing.

It's cool that we have more gold than bronze medals. Let's hope that trend continues for the rest of the games.

Interesting music choices in the hockey game.
Team USA up 4-1 with 5 minutes left. They'll play Czechia in the Quarterfinal.
