The same reason as everyone else - it's required by their mortgage lender.

Does the Catholic Church mortgage their churches?

I'm sure God would watch over them.

Based on how much they're advertising on virtually every YouTube channel I watch recently, they certainly seem to understand how to spam.

I don't know what that means about their ability to stop spam.

I would be skeptical. Once you stop paying for the service, you get more spam than a Monty Python skit.

My thought as well. That’s why I asked here.

I'd appreciate insight from the brain trust.

The situation : I was stopped by a sheriff on Halloween last year, and given a ticket for an expired registration. When I was stopped, I accidently handed him an old insurance form, and found the new one seconds later, which I then gave to him. Paid the registration ticket.

About a month ago, I received a conviction in absence, for not paying a ticket for not producing the valid insurance to the officer. He had never given me a ticket for this, and perhaps was going to before I produced the valid paperwork, but never cancelled what he had started. Either way, the ticket and conviction were a surprise, as I had no idea.

I appealed, and the court date is in a few days. My question is, what should I bring to the court, other than the insurance showing that there was no break in coverage? I feel I'm being naïve by thinking that a mistake was made, and I just have to show up to fix it.

I think the issue is having expired papers in the car. I don’t know why that’s the case, but they seem anal about it.

My buddy says once you get a drivers license it’s good for life, no $100 per year nonsense (probably some age compnent though. Why do we set up an entire industry for just nonsense Rando tax collection.

We should introduce fees for our shoe.

Usually the ticket is not for failure to have, but failure to provide. In a lot of cases if you can prove you had insurance at the time they'll forgive it, but that's not a guarantee.

Hmmm... I think that he meant to cancel the ticket once I provided the valid one, but forgot. He never physically issued me the ticket, which is why I was convicted in absence. I wonder if that makes it a he said/she said situation. It does work in my favor that I immediately paid the ticket that I did get. It makes no sense that I would ignore one and not the other.

Who shops at Bulk Barn on the regular?

It seems like an odd place.

Wife used to like it. But realized the marginal savings and low amount of material waste didn’t offset the low quality product.

I noticed this morning that my Activia was best before May 1. Ate it anyway. Any issues with this? I still have like 7 more, all with the same date.

Not on the regular, but for people who love to cook and try out new recipes, it's amazing for buying very small amounts of spice that you normally don't use. I just discovered it a month ago and was blown away!
