The Pope wants to save humanity from Gays/Lesbians
Pope Benedict said Monday that saving humanity from homosexual or transsexual behaviour was just as important as saving the rainforest from destruction.
Save us
OK...so this comes from the mouth of a man who wears a white dress?

I think he should focus on saving his church from pedophillic behavior first.

Man, these guys just cant catch a break.
I find it hard to believe he doesn't have anything more important to do. Don't the carpets in the Vatican need shampooing or something?

Don't forget the hat, I'd love to be able to wear a hat like that.
This one wasn't the one that got me though; this one was:

Quote:
GAY-rights groups have angrily condemned the Vatican for its decision to oppose a proposed UN resolution calling on governments worldwide to de-criminalise homosexuality.
...
Archbishop Celestino Migliore said the resolution would "add new categories of those protected from discrimination" and could lead to reverse discrimination against heterosexual marriage.
|
Oh no, better not get rid of discrimination or else you might get some reverse discrimination!
Quote:
Franco Grillini, founder and honourary president of Arcigay, Italy's leading gay rights group, said the Vatican's reasoning smacked of "total idiocy and madness".
"The French resolution, which is supported by all 27 members of the European Union, has nothing to do with gay marriage. It is about stopping jail and the death penalty for homosexuals," he said.
|
Well if the homosexuals are afraid of going to jail or being killed then they shouldn't have been gay in the first place!
Better to keep letting countries kill them, otherwise there might be some reverse discrimination and other bad things: "For example, states which do not recognise same-sex unions as 'matrimony' will be pilloried and made an object of pressure," he said."
Better to let them rot in jail than have a state be embarrassed.

He also defended the Church's right to "speak of human nature as man and woman, and ask that this order of creation be respected."
|
Or, he could screw right off and let other people's opinions be respected.
There's an easy solution for those in the church that are opposed to homosexual acts or gay marriage: If you don't like it, don't have sex with a gay man and don't marry one.
Too easy, isn't it?

Are you an 81 year-old virgin? If not, I don't think you are qualified to talk about sex.

/must spread the word of god and save humanity from the temptations and influences of blah blah blah blah.
Being happy following their own traditions/beliefs/faith isn't enough... you must go out and push your beliefs on everyone else, er, spread the good word!
