I just had to drive down to Spruce Meadows and in case some people are planning on driving there for games (as opposed to the bus from the Rose and Crown), be aware that it’s a bit convoluted at this point. Google maps worked and everything, but it’s all under construction.

Pacific just scored to go up 2-0. Deserved from Pacific, they have a great possession game. Bit of a weak goal for Carducci to give up on the short side
Awkward lineup from Cavalry, they had 5 central midfielders out there until they started making subs
Rebound and get ready for Edmonton. I think Forge is going to dominate the eastern teams and the west is going to be a real battle between Pacific, Valour, and Cavalry
2-0 Pacific is the final score. We didn't create much up front and Blasco alone could have had a hat trick for Pacific. Some good news is that Camargo came on around the 80th minute. Him being fit is key for this team.
Similar to the tournament in PEI last year, I think there's a lot of parity in the league now compared to 2019. Cavalry and Forge are no longer head and shoulders above everyone else. I think expanding the playoffs to 4 teams will be justified in that there may not be many points separating 1st from 4th.
The camera angle for the game felt like it came from the 4th row of the bleachers.
Edmonton has been incredibly stingy and the Cavs can't score. Setting my internal expectations for a 0-0 return to Spruce Meadows. I don't care, I get to yell at people chasing a ball around. It will be good no matter what.

I still have faith that we score and win this 1-0. I do know that in my head this is probably 0-0, but maybe we can will them to a goal?
“There are no perfect pitches,” continued Allison. “But I believe it will be the favoured venue for every team to play on in the CPL, just because the players so enjoy playing on real grass. It’s my hope that it will good for the welfare of the athletes — with injuries far less significant on the real grass — and it’s also got that real signature visual when the lights come on beginning Tuesday night that it will be memorable for visitors and the home side for just the quality of the venue.”
Sounds like Novak and Ledgerwood will miss the game due to yellow card accumulation. Also Musse, Minatel and Selemani are all out as well. Going to be a rough game I think.
Fisk is a solid add! I didn’t realize Cavalry was as depleted as they were against Pacific. Helps explain the odd lineup. Hopefully we get through these injuries and they don’t plague us all year
