Not sure about going so far as “quite poor”, gaffe yesterday aside he’s pretty good postionally to make up for his lack of quickness, and with height like that he’s impending back on defending crosses...but he’s an older guy that’s played a lot of minutes so far, on a side that hadn’t conceded a lot of goals due to a very good goalie but also very good team defence and that team defence consistent in sticking to the tactics given to them.
He should probably have a break here and there especially with aforementioned 9 games to go and impending turning weather.

To little surprise, it's as if the Oilers crew is picking the 3 top performers in the match on the CanPl website...2 Forge players get the honors in a 4-1 beat down.

I wouldn’t have minded if Forge got another round of travel, wear and tear, etc. that might have impacted their league play in the stretch.
But any loss for them is nice. No complaints about the paddlin’.

Forge were completely outclassed last night. You could see them collectively give up in the second half. The entire team, outside of Choiniere, were absolute trash.
I was hoping they would make it through as Cavalry could use Forge having another big trip to Central America before the final.

Watching that performance warmed my heart! But truthfully, why put that on TSN and not the games we had against Vancouver or Montreal? Showing an empty stadium and a CPL team getting pounded did nothing for the league (aside from people like me who hate the Forge and enjoyed watching them fail!)

I posted it in the Buy & Sell section, I will post it here as well:
I am trying to see if anyone has a black Cavalry cap (unworn please) that I can buy. Looking for this one in either red or white outline (prefer white)
Not a fan of the red cap they sell right now, and definitely no green hat for me!! (Go ask your Chinese friends why)
Thank you.

The Spruce Meadows shop had black fitted caps with black outlines on Wednesday. FYI

I think that may have been part of the budget cuts when they got rid of commentators and stopped broadcasting live at venues. Last three games have had zero atmosphere on the stream. You can hear the fans going crazy (especially against Montreal) but it sounds like when you hear a roar at the local soccer field in your community a kilometer away.
Really unfortunate as Spruce Meadows came across so nicely on One Soccer and now it sounds dead. It seems like they used to go and mic up the various sections, especially the grandstand, now it appears to just be the mic with the camera on the non fan side.

... And that's truly unfortunate. The noise and rowdiness in the supporters section / crowd is what absolutely makes a TV sports broadcast. It's why hockey games are so much fun to watch.

I just assumed that OneSoccer had taken direction from Rogers and their hockey broadcasts?

Aside from Wheeldon's injury, this has been a fun half to watch. Just dominance.
Officiating has been a bit suspect, but nothing too terrible. VAR has to happen in this league, but this game hasn't been bad.
