I have a feeling Krahn is a one trick pony and will run out of material in 2 months, Commodore on the other hand will create new stuff if needed.
I like them both though

Yes, it's Commodore - I thought it was Brunt too until he said #inone

I took it as sarcasm on Boomers behalf, but I could be wrong

Random question... I had heard something said a few weeks ago that it is "common knowledge that Lou and Wills don't get along". Listening to last nights game, what I would've previously taken as "friendly jabs" seemed more personal. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this or interpreted things this way?

They both seem really high strung to me, and the broadcast would benefit if they could both lighten up a bit and have more fun. This is entertainment, and does not have to be serious business.

Yesterday, I thought I heard Commie say Sarich was in his spot next week.

This is a good point. Wills is a pro radio guy. Good voice and takes his job seriously. I’m not sure he has much of a mind for hockey and nuances of the game but to your point, that would be great if he would let some personality show. Because often he is just dry as a fart.
Lou does let a little personality show but still not much in the way of lighthearted moments. It’s just radio guys. Have a little fun.

Wills is "professional radio man" but kind of a lightweight on hockey knowledge. Loubo is super knowledgeable but pretty unpolished in a broadcasting sense.

I would have no issue if Lou and Wills were removed in the next year or so. Wills os a guy that I just don’t care for. Lou is a guy I like at times but he can be annoying as well.
Would Pinder be next in line for the pbp gig if they moved on from Wills?

I know. But he's just not smooth - IMO he's been involved because of his knowledge, not his patter/style/vocals. Hence "unpolished". It's not a disparagement - I prefer him over Wills.
Wills is pretty much just a PBP guy and really has had only two team associations.

It's too bad they couldn't get Pinder to be the Flames pbp guy. I know some people don't like Pinder because the guy likes to always be right, but I think he's got the right voice and tone to be a good pbp guy, and he has a good balance of lightheartedness and seriousness.
Wills and Loubo just get too serious, like they sound personally offended if people are critical of Flames players, or don't agree with their takes on certain hockey issues. I still like Loubo as a colour guy because of his knowledge, but guy really needs to lighten up.

I find Wills terrible outside of calling games. When he is a morning show fill in in the summertime, I immediately delete the podcast from my feed. He seems self important, over-serious, and a massive nerd.
Lou is an awesome analyst. Love hearing him on the morning show talk about players. As a color guy...? meh.
Anyone know how long Wills has left on his contract with the Flames? My hope is that they decide to go a different direction soon.

I've also liked Commie better this week than last. Seems much more comfortable in his chair now. I'd be open to more.

Wills hot takes are worse than a bag of flaming dog poo. He lost objectivity last year with Smith and then took a victory lap when Smitty stood on his head in the playoffs for 5 games. I immediately discount anything he says now. I'll always have time for Loubo, they aren't in the same universe when it comes to hockey knowledge.

Wills getting on his knees for smitty every single flames roundtable was cringeworthy... and then to celebrate the playoff performance was sad.
He needs to go or Sportsnet needs to limit his daytime appearances and let him just call PbP because he is ok at that.
If you ever get a chance to listen to any other teams am radio braodcast, we have it pretty good, these two are definitely above average although not the best in the business

I found Commodore to be better this week vs. last week. I'll chalk that up to him being more comfortable the second week. It's too bad he's not Rhetro's long term replacement. I think he would have been decent.
I don't mind the current Boomer / Peter Klein dynamic. Peter's been growing on me. He's got pretty good insights, plus he's pretty open to all of Boomer's antics. And he's fighting back a bit now, where as when he first started, he just went along with whatever Boomer wanted from him. I think the summer where he was the main guy really helped him, although I still don't think he's ready to anchor a show.

Is anyone else bothered by the constant references to what junior teams players were from in the middle of plays?
"Here comes Doofus McDoof up the right wing! He hails from Naredowell Saskatchewan, where he was a part of the Double D line for 3 years, making the team as a 10 year old. I called him the Smiling Assassin."
I don't care. The player probably doesn't care. It smacks of "I have media notes I memorized".
Maybe I'm just getting old, but I'd kill for a bit more dead air, or thoughtful/funnny observations (a-la Kelly Hrudey).
