YAY OKC!!!! tickets have more than doubled to the CHL blazers... prob gonna keep a lot of people from becoming STH.... It was 540 bucks for seats on the glass for their last season. At least what my friends paid for them... Here they are well over 1000... Expensive for the worst team in the AHL that is supported by the worst team in the NHL

and for the record , the Barons was a team in the running for the NBA team ... Is it close to being tied in with the Oilers yes? But it was also the 2nd most popular with the NBA team naming and it fits well with the parent club so it fits!

Why? Why not associate your product with the parent product?

The Oklahoma group didn't want to go with Blazers. They also wanted to be associated with the Oilers as closely as possible (colours, etc). The identity was entirely up to them. The logo was designed by the Oilers though (more of a resources thing than anything).

I take it "Bombers" came in last place?
PS: I am not poking fun at anyone who died that day. People who take innocent lives are scum and a waste of time and life.
Eberle will be an Oiler next year as will Hall/Seguin. Is the AHL rule 20 years and older to be able to play? MPS is 19 so can he play in the AHL or no? I think he has to wait a year IIRC.

That's only for players who played in the CHL. Europeans and US college players can play in the AHL at 18 or 19.
So can CHL players (Eberle as an example) but they do have to wait until their junior season is over.

Correct. The other "in" to the AHL is if the player has played 4 years in the CHL, but is not yet 20 years old. For example, John Tavares could have been sent to the AHL if he didn't stick with the Islanders this year, because had played 4 years in the OHL even though he is not 20 yet.
