The Flames miss the playoffs and you pretend like the only reason they missed is because they play in the west instead of the east.

The Flames had a lot of bad luck, sure, but when you lose as many games as they did vs bottom feeders like Anaheim and Chicago, you can't exactly turn around and say you deserve to be in the playoffs...

It is funny because all season Dino was arguing Flames were so much more likely to make the playoffs because they played in such an easier conference than the Panthers. Check out the strength of schedule thread. How the turns have tabled.

Anyway I think it’s worth not overreacting to the season. Flames 100% deserve their spot in the standings, but not hard to see how it could change.

The infatuation with comparing to Florida is just kind of sophomoric.
