I was very impressed with everything prior to the puck drop last night.
I am guessing that the Flames were waiting for last night's game to finally add the Land Acknowledgement to the pre-game ceremony. It is my belief that a Land Acknowledgement should always precede the signing of Oh Canada in every circumstance. Hopefully, this is now a permanent feature at all Flames, Wranglers, Hitmen, Stampeders & Roughnecks games going forward.
I also agree that the indigenous Blasty logo from last night is a little too busy. The removal of the Side Flames coming out of the nostrils would be a huge improvement. My favourite part of the design would be the seven feathers with the flame tips. These were every well done and should be used in future events/designs as well as permanently featured in the new Event Centre.
