Yeah you need a willing veteran to teach those deep potential rookies the good habits for their first year instead of shoving them directly in that spotlight.
Mahomes had his share of issues during his time in Texas Tech that still show up today (happy feet, cross body throws, sometimes iffy progressions) but his overall game has sharpened and everyone will point to his time being the understudy to Alex Smith as vital to his development.

Von Miller was carted off the field near the end of the half. Had his ankle/calf rolled on by a couple players going to the ground behind him. Hope it's not as serious as it looked.

Nm beaten to it but turf is complete trash; the NFL should only be using only real grass.

Not sure the turf is to blame when you get rolled up like he did. Turf sucks though.

Josh Allen is top 3 QB outside the red zone, and Matt Schaub in it. Maybe they need to start trying to score TDs from the 30.

It's always one of the worst for me (next to the week before Christmas). Clients are out all day so nothing get's done, then the weekend requests come piling in on Friday. Friday after Thanksgiving is always worse than regular Fridays.

Missing a 29 yard FG is a big yikes.

Lions up 3 now early in the 4th after a good punt return. Detroit defence with a good start to the half.

Well I just talked about the other night about the nerd/analytics view about intentionally missing the EP, and I don't think that's what happened there, but if the Lions get into FG range and get to 4th and 3 at like the 37, they'll probably kick, but down 4 they'll obviously for it. So we'll see how aggressive they get.

Lions deserve that result for horrific decision-making in that final minute. Too bad, undermined a great effort. Stuff like that is what separates good teams and bad teams.

But missing the EP actually helped the Bills. Lions obviously play for the TD down 4, but they seemed content for the FG once they got into fringe territory. I still don't think it was intentional, but scoreline dictates situational play, and being up 3 is probably preferable to being up 4 with more than 90 seconds left.

F me. Cowboys fan here. What is he doing throwing the ball deep on 2nd and 3rd and 2, and then running it on 4th on 2 from our own 35....

Detroit should have gone of the 4th and 1 with timeouts plus 27 seconds on the clock. 20 seconds with 3 timeouts to get a field goal to win was too much for Buffalo.
When you're playing a good offence like Buffalo you can't be kicking game tying field goals with 5-6 plays left for you to lose.
Really KC was luck Los Angeles didn't tie the Sunday game...but in that case the field goal didn't beat them.

Detroit's gameplan infuriated me. Campbell was aggressive all game and it kept them in the game, which was fantastic to see. Then in the last 90 seconds of the game, he decided to play for OT? Just ridiculous. They deserved to lose at that point.

Kellen Moore consistently out thinks himself. His dumbass trickery on 2nd down took the Cowboys out of field goal range and forced them into a clear throwing down on third and long. It’s like he thinks he has Cooper Rush at QB.

The Cowboys doing dumbass Cowboy things is as much of an American Thanksgiving tradition as turkey is.
