If I'm his agent, yeah, I would sign a bridge deal that takes me to the doorstep of UFA land, or a short as possible bridge deal.
He's going to get over paid, there's no doubt, he puts up points on the powerplay, needs to have his ass stapled to the bench in 5v5 time. But for Edmonton where the pp is everything.
Well . . . He's their Huckleberry.

Why would there be buzz? The 1st team ever to spend an entire series on the PP? That's the only way they were getting this far. And that's in a year where a lot of playoff choking paved a road for them.
It was a very down year for the west. They ran into an injury riddled Vegas team playing their 3rd/4th stringer and it was still a cement wall for them.
