While I think much of what Martin wrote makes sense, it is hard to imagine the PM going anywhere until the liberals lose power.
Maybe, one day people will grow tired of the non-stop stupidity coming from the government (see the most recent trip to Russia to celebrate some holiday in Russia), and it is also possible that the US will implement a sensible gun program as well.
At this point, I am resigned to the current government running this country right into some pseudo-socialist state. I am glad I am closer to 60 than 30. I feel sorry for my children who will have a lifetime of this circus

Thing is....I loathe Trudeau, the guy has been an empty suit lacking the skills or intelligence to run a Banana Stand much less a Nation. And thats even ignoring his complete dearth of even the most remote concept of ethics.
But can anyone envision even a reasonable alternative at this point?
The guy is an idiot, but even now...he's kind of the best we've got.

The response I got back was that I was confused and:
I asked CaptainCrunch for the quotes he has attributed to the minister multiple times, and he keeps saying I am confused and not providing them. If they are interested in having a respectful discussion, it needs to start with facts. If they keep failing to provide them, it's not an honest discussion and therefore they shouldn't expect respect but I don't think "failing to acknowledge they are getting played" is especially disrespectful.

Also yes, the separation between the justice, legislative and executive branches is something taught in grade 6 social studies, or near enough that grade. That was not meant to be an insult. At least not to anyone but Poilievre.
So Mr.Coffee, in the interest of having a respectful discussion next time, how many times can I ask for someone to provide evidence of the fact that they are relying on before I can call them out as being a liar (or being played by the liar)? Evidentially it's more than 3.

So you were saying that Poilievre or Captain Crunch were educated like a grade 6 kid as I must have misinterpreted you.

More from Brian Lilley on the Trudeau government…
“ Are you ready for a return of vaccine mandates for travel in the fall with a new definition of fully vaccinated?
In case you missed it, Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos said they may change the definition of fully vaccinated to three doses instead of the current two if they bring back travel and work vaccine mandates in the fall.”
I do believe this columnist does have a specific dislike for Trudeau (similar to my own), but I would be quite upset if Trudeau brought back measures that were not necessary.
I would follow any mandates that are required for all our safety, as I have in the past, as long as those mandates are for our safety, not just to score political points, if that is true.
I guess time will tell if they are following science, or just “political science” as said in the opinion article.

From what I have seen about the fully vaccinated change discussion yesterday it isn't even changing the definition from 2 to 3 doses but rather it would be based on time since your last dose. Something along the lines of if you have had a dose within the prior "X" months you are fully vaccinated. "X" +1 day and you are not fully vaccinated.

I have been enjoying the last 2 days, watching the same people go from "Trudope is a tyrant with his restrictions for flying on the unvaxxed" to suddenly "Trudeau isn't following science!!! How can he now remove restrictions"

Careful, I’ve been told enjoying yourself here is a form of bullying.
Best to observe it all like you would the opera: with a soft, unrelenting look of quiet contemplation.

Even the rumor of Trudeau lumping the majority of the Canadian population (artists previously known as vaccinated), into the anti-vax bucket is a pretty bold move. A lot of footwork has been done to ostracize that group, and couldn't see the two-shot crew taking it very well that they are now cheek and jowl with the no-shots.

Yes I agree. Trudeau loves divisive politics, so I could see why he would want to keep the covid thing going, but to go after such a large population doesn’t seem to follow the play book.
Will be interesting to see how they pull it off. Of course, on the flip side, he could do the right thing and just follow advice from top doctor. That would be the smart / correct thing to do.

Oh no, you can do whatever you want, you just need to be self-aware that's all.
But totally for sure man, belittling and mocking people is the best, let it rip and then in the next thread wax poetic about social justice in search of thanks. Makes sense.

Don't you have enough reasons to be annoyed with Trudeau without inventing one that doesn't exist?

These people lack their own self awareness. Imagine complaining for so long about being unable to travel, finally having that restriction removed.... and your first reaction isn't "oh good!" No, it's to yet complain that the action taken was incorrect or the reasoning was. The pure hatred they have for Trudeau is just hilarious at this point. I'm willing to bet a lot of people complaining about restrictions likely didn't have a need to fly anyways.

Think it was some 60% of 18+ population that had a booster. Kids lagging because of the 5 month requirement and delayed approval process.
But if it became a requirement for pretty much anything to get a booster, I highly doubt those who had (previously) been fully vaccinated would care too much. I don't think it's necessary but if the science supported it, why not?
